Downtown Owensboro, Ky CLOSING A CHAPTER

This is an announcement that, trust us, wasn’t something we’ve decided easily!  We’ve had the pleasure of documenting, celebrating, and capturing the memories of our high school seniors for about 6 years! (Sooo many wonderful sessions!!)   To be completely honest, senior sessions are what started and pretty much built our business…These sessions will always have a very special place in our hearts.  There is something so thrilling, exciting and fun about getting to know each special person and creating the unique session of their dreams!

We’ve been to countless baseball fields, fields of flowers, basketball gyms, every downtown within a 50 mile radius, plenty of Grandpa’s farms, on boats, and in the deepest woods…We’ve ventured to so many beautiful, crazy, special locations just to create the most amazing, custom experience that perfectly represented the soul in front of our camera…We’ve worked with SO many beautiful people and its truly an honor to reminisce!  (Yes, I am sitting on the couch in tears as I write this!)   We’ve laughed, we’ve giggled, we’ve explored and connected with so many wonderful seniors & their parents.

But, as we’ve gotten older and as this little business of ours has grown, we have found the true calling of our hearts.  We are officially taking the plunge and dedicating our entire heart/soul/life/business to wedding photography.  After many late night chats, long pro/con lists, and many prayers…the choice seemed obvious.  Not at all an easy choice, but we are following the direction that we are so clearly being called to! Bret and Brandie Photography is closing one phase, and continuing to the next chapter.  We are ready to devote our entire life to wedding photography and this is the first giant step towards that dream.

What a perfect opportunity we had to commemorate our final senior session than to celebrate with a family that has been here from the very beginning!! When we were contacted by Rachel to do her senior photos, we knew she was the perfect person to close this chapter with! We have photographed this family so many times! Sweet Rachel is the last and final sister…the final senior for their family, and the final senior for our business!  Rachel’s session was the epitome of perfection, and SO fun!  We giggled a ton and sincerely cherished every single moment.  Thank you for the epic, bittersweet, wonderful final senior session in downtown Owensboro!!

Here’s to closing chapters, starting new ones, and to always following your dreams, friends!  Thank you to every single senior, senior parent and senior model we’ve been blessed to work with!  Thank you for supporting, loving and believing in us! We love you all so very much for helping us in this journey!
