A Stunning Loogootee Engagement Session

Let’s talk about one of our most favorite engagement sessions to date! We first met Mindy and Jarrod at Libby’s Gourmet Ice Cream in Jasper, Indiana for an ice cream date – YUM! Other than indulging in the best homemade ice cream we’ve ever eaten, we also INSTANTLY hit it off with this lively couple. We spent the first hour laughing with each other and getting to know one another. We were instantly impressed with their cool style and vibrant personalities. Bret and I left counting down the minutes to getting them in front of the camera.
We started this session in Loogootee, Indiana. We had never had the opportunity to shoot in Loogootee and we may or may not have gotten lost on our way! Once we finally arrived to Mindy’s parents’ quaint little farm, we quickly realized that it was definitely worth the drive! After saying our hellos, we loaded up the car with Mindy and Jarrod’s outfits and headed toward Hindostan Falls. Hindostan Falls is located in Martin County, Indiana, and the views were breathtaking. We headed toward the waterfall, but unfortunately the White River levels were high so we couldn’t get too close. That was no excuse to give up, though! We trekked around the property to find some really cool nooks and crannies perfect for pictures! Southern Indiana’s natural beauties never seem to disappoint!
Mindy and Jarrod were naturals in front of the camera and looked absolutely flawless! These two are the perfect example of a dream couple. We were absolutely obsessed with Mindy’s wardrobe. She started out wearing a white lace dress and a lovely chunky necklace. Jarrod’s maroon button up shirt popped against her bright white dress. Their love was so incredibly easy to photograph. Happily-in-love couples make our job so easy! Mindy and Jarrod’s laughter came so naturally and the need to cuddle up with each other was almost like instinct!
Next we moved to a golden field right before sunset and Mindy had just the outfit to complement the colors in landscape. Her stunning green dress popped against the golden hues. They danced under the beautiful, light sky and the images were to-die-for! I don’t think we can stress enough what naturals that these two were behind the camera!!
We ended this dreamy session with the sun breaking over the horizon. We convinced Mindy and Jarrod to venture into a lake! They frolicked and played in the water and the pictures could not have turned out more perfectly. They seriously brought their A-game to this session!
