Downtown Owensboro Rainy Engagement

“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass…It’s about learning to dance in the rain.”

This quote was the first thing to come to mind on the day of Taylor and Sederick’s mini session.  As we were watching the forecast, we were anxious about the impending thunderstorm that was headed our way.  After a quick chat with Taylor & Sederick, we were all in agreement to be a little crazy, take a chance, and to continue with the session despite the rainy day.

Watching these two giggle and embrace the rain as they hopped out of the car, we immediately knew this session was going to be incredible.  We spent a quick twenty eight minutes out in the rain at the Owensboro Convention Center and captured some of our absolute favorite moments.  Sederick carefully held the umbrella over Taylor as he pulled her in for a sweet snuggle.  How sweet can one session be?! And suddenly they tossed the umbrella to the side and slowly danced in the rain.  Our photographer hearts were exploding with joy.

A quick session with such a deep meaning. These two have faced a wild journey this year.  They’ve endured so many hardships, and yet their love and happiness has remained untouched.  We are in awe of their strength to handle whatever life has thrown their way!! Looking at this sweet couple, it’s oh so apparent that they’ve learned to ‘dance in the rain’.
