Downtown Owensboro, Ky Engagement Session

Today on the blog are Jessica and Nick! We are going to go ahead and preface this entire thing by saying these two are TROOPERS! It was an absolutely freezing cold day but we had already rescheduled their session one time due to rain so we were all ready and super excited to make their engagement session magic happen. Thank goodness we went for it because these photos turned out PERFECT!

We met Jessica and Nick at The Creme Coffee House, a quirky little place in downtown Owensboro. We all arrived early for the session (great minds think alike!) so we were able to enjoy some time together talking, warming up and drinking some yummy coffee. Once we decided to brave the cold we were all just laughing so hard that the cold somehow added to the fun of the session and gave us something else to laugh about. Nick and Jessica describe themselves as a fun-loving, laid back couple and they truly showed us these characteristics during our time together. YAY for easy-going, fun couples! #idealclients

Jessica wore the MOST beautiful floral spring dress and completely rocked it despite the definite non-spring day southern Indiana decided to give us. The movement and bright colors of this dress warmed everything right up! As well as her laugh- y’all Jessica’s laugh is contagious and once Nick gets her going you can just see and feel the love between them. To be around them is MAGICAL.

We ventured around downtown Owensboro and were SO blessed with the most beautiful, sun-filled happy colors (as you can tell!). Nick and Jessica’s session is the perfect example of why we search for beautiful light because it helps us to showcase love even more. These two were simply stunning together as they were drenched in all the hazy sunshine, it just tied everything together perfectly. We ended the session right as the sun was breaking the horizon at the fountains in Smother’s Park.

Photographing Jessica and Nick was an absolute dream. We just love these two so much and CAN’T wait to celebrate their wedding this fall!
