A Southern Sunset Engagement Session

A few months ago, we did a little giveaway over on our Instagram!  We were giving away a sunset mini session to one lucky couple!! Today we are so excited to introduce the winners, Kellen and Kris!! Hooray!!!

Sweet Kellen won the giveaway, and according to Kris, she was beyond THRILLED!!! He laughed as he told us her reaction to the news!! He swears she was jumping and screaming with joy! (Which made us EVEN MORE EXCITED, too!!)  One of our favorite things on the whole planet has to be happy couples.  People who love & laugh big are the best!! Those sweet souls are what make this job so fun!

We were in the midst of working on the game plan for the mini session with Kellen, when Kris took her out of town for the weekend.   She came home with a ring on her finger and a wedding to plan.  YAY!! All of the sudden, their sunset mini session evolved into their first engagement session with us.  TALK ABOUT AMAZING!! We grabbed coffee with these two to talk about allllll the excitement and to hear the details about the wedding.  We laughed the night away like old friends and just couldn’t wait to start this journey together!! 

A few weeks later, it was time for the sunset session!   We scoped out the coolest location…an overgrown backroad in Southern Indiana.  The dreamy location and the hazy sunset paired perfectly for this session!! We watched them ‘Disney laugh’ and snuggle the evening away as the sun dropped beyond the horizon.  Our hearts (and our memory card) was SO full from the incredible memories we captured that evening.  As we scroll through the gallery, we smile because these two share something so beautiful.  The way he looks at her, the way she giggles at him…Kris and Kellen are simply the definition of ‘meant to be’. 

Here’s to the first taste of what’s to come from these two!! We can’t wait for the full engagement session…and for THE WEDDING!!! Counting down the days until we celebrate together again, guys!  Congratulations!!♥️
