Downtown Chicago Engagement Session

Y’all, fall is here and I could not be more excited. There is just something so exciting and relaxing when I think about the crisp fall air! I can’t think of a better way to celebrate other than to share this blog of Andrea and Dominic. Grab your pumpkin spice latte, cozy on up, and check it out!!

Our excitement with this couple started at our very first donut date — yes, you heard me correctly, a DONUT date! How stinking perfect! Andrea and Dom live in Chicago, Illinois, but will be married in Evansville, Indiana. When they were on the hunt for wedding photographers, they found us. How lucky were we?! We were all dying to have our first meeting at Donut Bank, a local donut shop in the tri-state area. The four of us immediately hit it off and we fell in love with their sweet personalities and spunk. When Andrea and Dom would talk to us about their dream engagement session, we could tell that their hearts were set in Chicago. We immediately agreed because we are ALL about road trips! Fun fact: we NEVER say no to road trips, ever!

When the time finally arrived, we ventured up to Chicago, Illinois. It was an absolutely gorgeous day. Holy cannoli – the weather was fantastic. I do not think that we could have even dreamt up a more perfect day! We met them at a park in Chicago and started their session off in the cutest way possible. The session started off with Frank. Frank is Andrea and Dom’s dog, and is probably the coolest dog ever. They seemed a little nervous and anxious that he would not cooperate and we have found that most owners are at first. Frank reassured them that he knew how to work the camera. We were dying laughing as he struck poses effortlessly. We have no doubt that Andrea and Dom will die over these images because they are the ultimate #dogparents 

After Andrea’s brother stopped by to pick up Frank, we explored Chicago. The four of us ventured into some incredible spots. My favorite of all of them was when we hit the skyline perfectly. The Chicago skyline behind them was breathtakingly gorgeous. We explored all over the place hitting all different kinds of scenery. We got lots of greenery shots throughout the parks and then would head right around the corner for some more urban looks. It was so much fun to just let our hair down and go where the wind took us. LOL, Windy City… get it?! I’m on fire today! (Bret disagrees LOL)  To say that we loved our session with these two would be an understatement. If we could, we would give them the award for the sweetest couple on the planet. We are so very lucky to be able to laugh and giggle with our clients during some of their sweetest moments. We legitimately have the Best. Job. Ever.
