A Dreamy Farmer and Frenchman Engagement Session

Can you believe it?! Christmas is tomorrow!!! TOMORROW. Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year because of the joy that embodies the season. I cannot wait to spend the next couple days with friends and family celebrating the holidays. With that being said, our weather this time of the year is typically gross, gloomy, and YUCK! We got so lucky for Kelsey and Caleb’s engagement session!! Picture this: in the middle of December, IN THE MIDWEST, it was 50 DEGREES!!! Yes, you heard me correctly –FIFTY. Holy guacamole, that never happens!!!! It was warm and sunny and just the most beautiful day and we could not have asked for more!

Kelsey and Caleb’s session took place at the Farmer & Frenchman winery in Henderson, Kentucky. When we arrived, we were welcomed by a giggly Kelsey and Caleb. All four of us were so ready for this session and we were tickled pink that the weather was so stinking perfect!! There were lots of hugs, especially considering that we hadn’t got to see our sweet friends since we met them for their initial coffee date! Those first few minutes with them were the absolute best way to start off our session!

We spent the next few hours together as the sun was setting. That mid-December sun was oh-so golden, warm, and creamy as its light wrapped all around us. Kelsey’s cream sweater together with Caleb’s creamy purple shirt complemented the setting sun so wonderfully!! We were able to venture all over the property and we were able to capture some of the most beautiful shots!

My absolute favorite part of their session was when they were dancing throughout the vineyard at sunset. It was an awesome jaw-dropping and stunning moment. Pair those shots with Kelsey’s gorgeous navy maxi dress and we have ourselves a whole lot of winning photos!! We would show them the back of the camera from different shots and they both would light up and giggle! Those sweet giggles gave me so much life!! We loved letting them steal the spotlight and enjoy their moments throughout the evening. The four of us laughed like old friends which is the ultimately the best feeling in the world – those laugh from your belly laughs!

We work with so many great people throughout the year and we are so excited to be able to capture yet another amazing couples’ wedding next September. Kelsey and Caleb, let the countdown begin!
