A Downtown Indianapolis Wedding at Union Station

Well, here we are!! Our first wedding blog post of 2019 — can you believe it?!?! Is it just me or does each year pass more and more quickly?! Each year just keeps getting better and better and we could not ask for more! We have been so truly blessed with our business and the friends that we have made throughout the years! But before we can dive into 2019 to make new memories, we have one more wedding to showcase from 2018.

We got to ring in the new year with a grand slam of a wedding! We are so stinking excited to share Tori and Jacson’s wedding with you!! Our first time touring their venue was on Field Trip day! We always take a field trip with our couples to their venue before their big day to explore and check out all the magical spots!! On Tori and Jacson’s field trip, we explored, talked, dreamed, and visualized all about what their wedding day would look like! Upon entering Union Station in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, we knew the wedding was going to be beautiful. There was so much ornate character that surrounded the Grand Hall. The venue legitimately took your breath away as you walked into all the beautiful art deco charm! With that being said, we were so beyond excited to venture back to Union Station and we literally were counting down the days until we could return to the Grand Hall to celebrate with Tori, Jacson, and their families!

When we arrived on that chilly Saturday morning, the bridal party was getting ready at the Omni Hotel. I walked into the girls giggling and getting ready in the bridal suite. The room was full of joy and you could feel the happiness in the air!! The hair and makeup artists were hard at work. I always love watching the bridesmaids serve their bride for their day. It truly shows how much the bride and her future groom are loved by those around them! As the day had progressed, it was now time to get Tori dressed in her beautiful gown. There was a super sweet and slow moment with Tori’s mom buttoning her into dress. Those sweet and memorable moments are some of my favorites shots of each wedding! There is something so sweet about watching a mama get her daughter into the most important dress of her life! I was absolutely obsessed with Tori’s open-back gown and all that lace!! Her gown was so crisp and classy!! It really complemented the theme that they chose for their big day!

We then ventured downstairs with Tori to see her groom. Tori and Jacson were so excited and giggly in that moment. It was a cold day, but they did not let that get them down. They were both so full of joy and absolutely besides themselves to see each other for that first time. We would never pressure our couples into doing a first look, but it is a moment that we highly recommend! It always ends up being one of the most memorable moments for both involved!! After we finished up the first look, the bridal party made their way out. We kept them popping in and out of lobby for photos to keep warm! We are allllllll about keeping warm!! We would pose the picture inside, then sprint outside, grab the shots, and then head back in for warmth! I loved the maroon dresses that the bridesmaids wore. That color was perfect for this December wedding!

Next up was the ceremony. Tori and Jacson’s ceremony was held in the Grand Hall. I can’t even begin to explain what I saw in their ceremony. It was BEAUTIFUL and absolutely indescribable!!! Seeing them tie the knot in the Grand Hall surrounded by all the beautiful character and architecture was so magical! Once they were officially married, Grand Hall was transformed during cocktail hour into their reception hall. The reception hall was decorated in maroons, pinks, and golds which made for the perfect winter combinations! Tori and Jacson danced the night way with friends and family. We were so blessed to get to spend the day with them and their families! Their wedding was a complete homerun! We love you guys so much and loved spending the day with you!
