A Classic Winter Wedding in Rockport

There is something so special to us about winter weddings. Winters in southern Indiana can be a bit dreary and depressing at times, so it’s always nice to have a sweet wedding to break up the dullness! Thank goodness for Casey and Dillon tying the knot when they did because they cured some serious seasonal sadness!! While we sit back and wait for the sunshine to peek through, check out Casey and Dillon’s wedding!

It was a sunny, magical day in mid-February. There was impending snow haunting the already dreary forecast, but luckily for us, the skies cleared and the sun decided to shine through. We first arrived at Casey’s parents’ house to a room full of giggling bridesmaids getting ready. The hair and makeup artists were zipping around putting on the final touches of all the magical looks for the big day to come! Um, did we forget to mention that those sweet girls had pockets in their gowns?! How awesome is that?!! We were so excited to get the girls ready so that we could get Casey to the church to get her married!! We can’t even begin to describe how stunning Casey looked as a bride — I mean those sleeves and that lace!!!! It was the perfect mix of modern and classic!

Casey and Dillon chose to get married at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Rockport, Indiana. St. Bernard is our absolute favorite Catholic church to shoot weddings at. It is big and beautiful and the perfect backdrop for our couples! It has so many architectural details and the church is dripping with charm!! As photographers, we love the beautiful white neutral color and the gray carpet. Talk about a photographer’s dream!! Add in an adorable happy couple promising forever to each other and you’ve got yourself two of the happiest photographers on the planet!! 

They had the sweetest ceremony full of personal moments, sweet snuggles, and lots of giggles. They sealed the deal with a kiss and happily danced down the aisle as Mr. and Mrs. We hopped right into celebrating the newlyweds with bridal party and family pictures. The  bridal party kept us in stitches the whole time! We then ventured out to the Spencer County 4H Center in Chrisney, Indiana for the reception. As soon as we arrived we snuck the newlyweds off to a nearby field for their sunset session!! We ended our night with pictures as Casey and Dillon danced in a field as the sun was setting behind them. It was a bit chilly, but the sunlight was touching the edge of the horizon in all the right spots! We really got some beautiful shots of the new bride and groom! The newlyweds then danced the night away with their family and friends. It was so sweet to watch Casey and her dad clog together — such a sweet sentiment! Guys, there were even accordions involved and it was AWESOME! It was such a fun night for all!

It really was a glorious day and we are so blessed that they chose us to be a part of their wedding day! For real, Casey and Dillon are legitimately two of the cutest newlyweds ever!!! Marriage looks sooooo stinking good on them and we can’t wait for them to see this sneak peek!!
