Our Quick Vacay to Washington DC

We were SO thrilled to venture down to the Washington DC area for a destination engagement session last week!!  Bret and I have been bitten by the travel bug and LOVE the chance to explore any chance we get.  There is something so magical about traveling to a new place with our cameras in hand.  Capturing sweet clients in different parts of this big ol world is definitely a WIN in our book!!

We also LOVE airports…the energy, the hustle & bustle, the assortment of people zipping around…we love love love that vibe!!  When we landed at DCA we stumbled upon the sweetest man who offered to grab a photo for us when we saw us attempting a selfie!  Shoutout to those amazing humans who do ANYTHING for the perfect shot for a stranger!! (He was squatting and working that iPhone like a PRO!!)

Here’s where we get a little mushy and thank our sweet friends Megan and Connor for opening their DREAMY farmhouse to us and for the amazing hospitality!  We came in to a guest suite furnished with toiletries, fluffy folded towels and the comfiest bed EVER!  Connor takes the cake as the best chef ever with his delish meals. We were treated like royalty!!

We love you two very much!!!

Megan and Connor live on a farm with horses which Bret LOVED!  (Fun fact:  Bret worked on a horse farm all through high school & part of college!  Y’all… don’t forget to check out that killer outfit he was rocking…jean shorts and boots!!😂🙌🏼)

Day 1 was our ‘tourist’ day.  We’ve been to the DC area before, so we had a gameplan of our MUST SEES!  Y’all…we hit the ground running and explored all of our favorite spots…even Shake Shack! lol!

We rounded out the week with a day exploring the best parts of the area with our trusty friend, and tour guide, Megan!  We ventured to breakfast, antique shops, coffee shops, and the Air and Space museum!  Full day = full hearts!
