A Summertime Wedding in Owensboro, Kentucky

When I say that we were excited to celebrate with Stacey and Thomas, I mean it!! We were so very pumped to get the chance to celebrate with and capture one of our favorite couples on the planet! Stacey and Thomas are just ridiculously kind, bubbly, sweet and all-around giggly… which pretty much fits right into profile of our ideal clients! 😉 They are everything we could dream up to work with so getting the chance to work with them was literally a dream come true!  The love shared between the two of them is just so stinking cute and amazing – it makes my heart SWELL!

We met Stacey and her bride tribe at her grandparents’ beautiful home which overlooked the Ohio River in Owensboro, Kentucky. We entered into a home of incredibly giggly gals that were putting on the final touches of hair and makeup. Then something crazy happened…I mean something that NEVER happens!! Stacey and her bridesmaids were ready 1.5 hours early — WHAT!?! Literally…that almost never happens!! I’d like to give a HUGE shout out to Stacey and her incredible groups of girls! With all that extra time, we got to play around and leisurely enjoy our time taking some adorable pictures! The home was full of natural light which was the perfect backdrop for the bridesmaids’ getting-ready space!

Up next, we loaded up and headed to Thomas’ parent’s home! We spent a lot of the afternoon with the sweet bridal party and the couples’ families. We sweat our way through as many photos as possible that afternoon. Southern Indiana had recently “blessed” us with a hot and humid heat wave and Stacey and Thomas’ wedding day was no exception! None of that mattered though, because nothing could get them down. Those two were 100% down to snuggle and giggle through the heat. We had the absolute best time of our lives with them!

After a magical first look, we knocked out a few more bridal party and family photos. We would practice the poses and placements inside the house before heading outside to capture the actual photos! It made things much easier and kept us all cool as much as possible! We then made the trek over the hills and through the woods to a little catholic church in Whitesville, KY. We witnessed Stacey and Thomas tie the knot there and watched them promise forever in front of all of their family and friends. The church was a gorgeous little church on the outskirts of town and had the most gorgeous natural light pouring in all around us. There was so much happiness and joy in that little church. It was truly a ceremony to remember!!

After Stacey and Thomas sealed the deal with a kiss, we ventured out of the church and hopped into their sunset session. The sun was setting magically behind them as they enjoyed all of that sweet newlywed bliss. The four of us laughed our way through some of the most adorable photos ever!!

After their session, we headed back into town to Blessed Mother for their reception. It was so much fun watching Stacey and Thomas celebrate their big with all of their closest family and friends. It was truly a day to remember!! We are so honored to have gotten to love and serve them in this oh so very special season of their lives!!
