An Intimate Sunset Wedding in Southern Indiana

As our busy season comes to a close, we are so excited to begin renovating our new home! We keep visualizing allllll the things and we are trying to bring our inner Chip and Joanna Gaines to life! Buying this new home and selling #ourbrickbaby has had us wandering up and down Memory Lane lately and we can’t help but look back on this past year! We have had the best 2019 and our couples this year have been nothing but wonderful! We could not ask for better couples to work with. Our most recent couple is near and dear to our hearts. This next wedding is extremely special and very unique because it was the wedding of Bret’s little sister, Alyssa!! 🥰 Bret and Alyssa look and act like twins (it’s actually kind of spooky, lol). The two of of them are pretty much besties sooo getting the honor to capture her sweet, intimate wedding with Walker was an unbelievable feeling!

We had really been looking forward to Alyssa and Walker’s big day! We woke up to one of the most beautiful fall days and all the details and planning were coming together perfectly! They opted to do an intimate small wedding on some property they own in the rolling hills of southern Indiana at sunset. They took a very intentional approach with their wedding and wanted to focus merely on their marriage. Bret and I love and appreciate that mindset SOOO much!  (Brings us back to the sweet memories of our own wedding!)

The day of their wedding we arrived at The Corner House in Rockport, Indiana, where Alyssa was getting ready. I had the honor of helping Alyssa into her dress with Bret’s momma, Kim! It was seriously so stinking sweet as they were putting the final touches on Alyssa’s bridal look to marry her best friend. The sweetest part of the afternoon was when Alyssa did a first look reveal with her son, Max. Aunt and Uncle B love Max more than imaginable so this moment was even sweeter for us to witness! Little Max had his eyes closed and covered when he walked into the room! Alyssa asked him if he was ready to see momma as a bride! His response had us grinning from ear to ear. He responded with, “yes, I smell you! You smell good, Momma! You smell like a bride!” (Okay, how stinking adorable is that?!!) Max turned around and burst into a toothy smile and kept telling his sweet mom how pretty she looked! We’re still melting over the adorableness and how happy Max was to see her as a bride! 😍

Next, we ventured over to Walker and Alyssa’s property where they would share their first look. We got everything set up for the sweet moment. Alyssa walked up behind Walker, tapped him on the shoulder, and when he turned around to see her, he broke out into the biggest smile!! Walker hugged Alyssa and she immediately melted into his arms. We adored watching the two of them giggle in that private moment between the two of them! I don’t think Bret and I ever stopped smiling the entire day watching the two of them together…they are so stinking in love!

Before the ceremony, we captured some bridal portraits and the four of us laughed through some of the sweetest photos ever. It was finally time for the two of them to tie the knot right at sunset while their closest family and friends watched them say “I do”. WE ARE SO HAPPY FOR THEM!!!!! Ahhhhh! They are finally married!! After the ceremony, we headed over to The Miller House in Owensboro, Kentucky for an intimate dinner reception with family and friends. It was the best way to end the night! We are so stinking excited for them, and even more excited to officially have a new brother. Welcome to the Nowak family, Walker! We love you both soooooo much!!!
