A Dreamy Summer Wedding at Discovery Lodge

What BIG lesson did you learn throughout your engagement?

“Get a wedding planner because wedding planning is stressful!”

Tell us a bit about your wedding!

“Silver sage bridesmaid dresses, light and airy, summer feel with blush accents!  O’Day Discovery Lodge for the reception and Neu Chapel for wedding.  We also rented out cabins at Burdette Park for our wedding party to stay and get ready in!”

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

“I think we would both have to agree on the first look even though Max didn’t want to do it, but he was SO GLAD WE DID! It was such a special moment that I will cherish forever!”

Tell us about your first look!

“It was probably the sweetest, most intimate moment we have every had together. Max couldn’t stop crying the second he saw me and it was so sweet. He was truly speechless.”

What’s next? What are you two planning on tackling next in life?

“House projects! We just had a back patio poured and we’re now working on creating a great outdoor space! We also have several friends getting married in the next year and can’t wait to celebrate with them!”

Bride: tell us a bit about who was the most helpful in helping you pull off your dream wedding?

“My MOM! I could not have done it without her!!!”

Advice for other couples who are planning their own wedding right now?

“Even if it’s not exactly what you planned or imagined, it will be amazing. Especially the day of, enjoy every second and do not stress about the details!”

Did anything hilarious/unexpected happen?!

“Natalie and Neal put each others clothes on to walk into reception!!

Then the DJ also played a game where the person who caught the garter had to do a dance for the girl who caught the bouquet— it could not have been more perfect people! Brock and Paige, it was hilarious!!”

What is something unique you incorporated into your wedding?

“My grandpa did the Schnitzelbank, which is a German drinking song!!

According to my grandfather, you are not married until you sing this at your wedding!”

How big was your wedding party?

“8 bridesmaids 8 groomsmen, 2 ushers”

First dance song?

“Falling Like the Stars- James Arthur”
