Mariah and Andrew celebrated one year of the married life this year and their sunset session on University of Evansville’e campus was absolutely AMAZING!! What do you like best about being married?

Him: “I get to hang out with my best friend everyday.”

Her: “We know each other so well. We can finish each other’s sentences, or we’ll be thinking the same thing and say it at the same time.”

What’s been the most surprising thing about marriage?

“The hardest part of marriage is figuring out what to eat for dinner everyday.”

What’s your favorite memory of the last year?

“For our honeymoon, we spent a week in a cabin in the Smoky mountains. It was so nice to get away from routine, have some peace and quiet, and just spend time with each other.”

What’s been your favorite date lately?

“Mariah’s all time favorite pizza place is Mellow Mushroom, but the closest one is in Owensboro, KY. We took a kind of spontaneous mini road trip for pizza on a Friday evening. Then we got ice cream from a Cold Stone ice cream truck and walked along the riverfront.”

What are some fun + silly sayings you to say?

“We don’t really have any sayings we made up, but we’ve been quoting Friends at each other since we started dating.”

What would you tell yourself if you could go back to the the morning of your wedding?

“Eat something! We had every detail planned except for breakfast and lunch.”

Looking back, what was your favorite moment of your wedding day?

“The first look. All the nerves just melted away after we saw each other. Also, we had the most delicious cheesecake!”

What was your favorite part of your anniversary session with B&B?

“Bret and Brandie are amazing people and great to work with. They were always hyping us up and giving us confidence to be silly and have fun. Taking photos with our fur baby was also a highlight!”
