How did you meet?!

“We met at a CrossFit competition in Covington, KY. It was a group CrossFit competition with 15 people on each team. We didn’t know each other, but talked a little bit. He caught Emma’s eye because he was in every workout and was one of the best on the team!! 😍”

What was your first date?

“We went to Texas Roadhouse and then went downtown to listen to some bluegrass music on the river. A few days later he asked if I wanted to go to his dads house to “blow some stuff up”. I declined that offer (LOL) but we still went on a few more dates and saw each other at the CrossFit gym. We started “officially” dating about a month after our first date!”

What would the perfect date night look like or include?

“A perfect date to us would be a home cooked meal with some sort of meat smoked on our pellet grill, accompanied by some games (pandemic and code names for 2 are a couple of our faves) and LOTS of cuddles with our dog Phoenix!”

When did you get engaged?

“July 24 2021”

How did he propose?!

“We brought Emma’s little brother mountain biking for the first time at Rudy Mines. Landon and Owen drove together and Emma and her mom drove over together. Landon and Owen discussed when the right time would be, that day or later that month on a family trip to Cape Cod. They decided on that day. When we stopped at our normal half way break spot, Landon asked to take a picture. Owen took Landon’s phone and as he was about to take the picture, Landon got down on one knee!!! At the time it didn’t occur to me that Landon NEVER asks for pictures, but looking back I should have known something was up!”

What’s your favorite way to spend the weekend?

“Weekend mornings we like to drink coffee while cuddling with our pup, and reading. That’s followed by some sort of exercise (CrossFit/ yoga/ biking). Landon likes being productive and doing projects, while Emma would prefer meeting up with friends, so we compromise and do a bit of both most weekends!”

“His discipline when he sets his mind to a task, his ability to fix/repair/make anything, and his effortless ability to make me feel so incredibly loved every single day.”

For the groom: What are three things you love about your bride?

“Her fun loving nature and carefree spirit everywhere we travel, her smiles that brighten every room, and her tender heart that loves and supports her family, friends, our dog and myself.”

If you could go anywhere on a vacation, where would you go?

“Hawaii… we’re going there for our honeymoon!!”

Do you have any pets together?!

“Yes…Phoenix our puppy dog! 😍”

What was your favorite part of the engagement session?

“Our photos with our dog!”

“Don’t overanalyze your outfits, wear something that is comfortable and is normal style!”
