Making Your Engagement Session Magical

Our Top Tips for a Stress-Free Shoot

Hey there, cuties! We know that having your photo taken can be a bit nerve-wracking—even if it’s just a quick snap on your phone. You want to look your best, avoid any rogue hairs, and make sure there’s nothing in your teeth….Ahh the stress!!! When it comes to your engagement session, the pressure can feel even higher. But don’t worry! We’re here to guide you through it. Here are some trendy tips to make your session a 10/10 experience!

The Basics…Easy Things to Think About✨

Pockets First things first: empty your pockets! This tip is especially for the guys. You don’t want key chains or phones creating awkward bulges in your photos. Keep it sleek and smooth.

Timing Timing is everything. The sun sets quickly, especially if your shoot isn’t in the summer months. Arriving on time means more gorgeous photos before we lose that magical light. Once the sun sets, the shoot is over.

Ring Cleaning Your engagement ring is the star of the show, so let’s make it sparkle! We love capturing a few close-ups of your ring while you change outfits. The cleaner, the better—so shine that baby up!

Changing Clothes If there’s a nearby restroom, feel free to use it for outfit changes. If not, don’t worry—we’ve got a pop-up changing tent to keep things easy and private.

Deep Breaths We’re here to help you every step of the way, and it’s going to be a blast! Enjoy this special time together and make a date out of it. Plan a fun dinner afterward and celebrate your love!

Random Fees This might not apply to every shoot, but it’s always good to plan ahead for any potential fees, like parking or entrance fees. Avoiding surprises helps keep stress levels down.

Outfits Generally, our couples like to bring one casual outfit and one dressier option. If you’re unsure about what to wear, feel free to bring a few options, and we can help you decide.

Lip Color & Hairspray You might need to reapply your lip color after an outfit change or a few kisses. If you’re rocking a bold lip, opt for a matte finish to avoid transfer. A bit of hairspray and a brush can help keep your hair in place, especially if it’s a humid day.

Flip Flops If you’re wearing fabulous but uncomfortable shoes, bring some comfy flip flops to change into as we move between locations. Your feet will thank you!

Remember, this session is all about capturing your love story in a way that’s fun and relaxed. We can’t wait to make some magical memories with you!
