What BIG lesson did you learn throughout wedding planning?

That things may not go as expected. Plan for the unexpected to happen (like your venue closing a month before the wedding!!)

Tell us a bit about your wedding!

Colors: Navy and Burgundy, Location: The Destination LLC in Salem, In. Beautiful country/barn wedding with the cutest bed and breakfast to stay in.

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

“My (Bride) favorite part of the day was seeing Wayne for the first time standing at the alter. The whole say was magical but seeing him and knowing that I was about to marry my best friend may the day even more special.”

Did you two do a first look?

“No, Wayne wanted to see me when I was walking down the aisle. We wanted to go with the more traditional wedding routine!”

For the bride: What are three things you love about your groom?

“His love for Hudson, my son. He treats Hudson like he is his own son, He is always caring and the most supportive person I know.”

Bride tell us a bit about who was the most helpful in helping you pull off your dream wedding?

“Wayne was the most helpful in pulling off my dream wedding. He was so supportive of what my vision for our wedding looked like and essentially let me ‘run the show’ to make our day the perfect day!”

Advice for other couples who are planning their own wedding right now?

“Have fun with the wedding planning and don’t stress when the unexpected happens. Also budget more money than you anticipate spending, little and big things come up.”

Did anything hilarious/unexpected happen?!

“Not at the wedding but our wedding venue closed a month before our wedding and we had to find a new venue very quickly. The Destination (the new venue) was better than expected. It was our dream wedding come true and the owners went above and beyond to accommodate us.”

First dance song?

“All of Me by John Legend”

How big was your wedding party?

“12 people. 6 ladies and 6 gentlemen”

Reception dinner: buffet or served?

“Buffet”

Reception: open bar or cash bar?

“Open bar”

What dessert did you serve at your reception?

“Homemade cupcakes and brownies”
