Chrissy & Kevin’s Engagement Session

Ahh!!! This sweet + sunny engagement session was MAGICAL!!!😍  We ventured alllll the way down to St Petersburg, Florida for Chrissy & Kevin’s engagement session!  We kicked off the first half of the session at their STUNNING wedding venue, The Vinoy, and spent the last half on the beach at sunset!  Those magical locations + their adorable snuggles + alllll the sweet giggles = pure photo perfection!!💕 We just loved celebrating this season of life with Chrissy & Kevin!! But, now…let the wedding countdown begin!!✨

How did you meet?!

“We were both working at a doctor’s office and on my first day going to the location Chrissy worked at, I walked in the front door and saw the girl of my dreams sitting at the front desk and knew she would be the one. Fast forward a few months later, I texted Chrissy asking if she wanted to go get dinner after work…”

What was your first date?

“…After Kevin texted me asking to go eat dinner somewhere, I said sure! And suggested the restaurant my best friend worked at. If things got awkward, I at least had her there for moral support haha! Well we ended up staying for 3 hours and I knew he was the one because I’ve never talked to someone for 3 hours straight. It was one of the best nights getting to know each other and we’ve been inseparable since!”

Do you have a favorite date you’ve ever been on together?

“It wasn’t a date, rather a whole weekend! The week after our first date Kevin invited me to join him and his friends in Ocean City for Memorial Day Weekend. He had the most welcoming group of friends and we had so much fun that weekend. That was when we officially started dating and 3 years later we are getting married that same weekend. It was meant to be!”

What would the perfect date night look like?

“Getting take out, watching one of our favorite shows, and playing Scrabble!”

When did you get engaged?

“June 2, 2021 – the best day ever!”

How did he propose?

“We were on the best trip traveling from Los Angeles to San Francisco with Kevin’s parents. We had just be in Carmel-by-the-Sea with Yosemite being our next stop. Carmel was cloudy, breezy, and cold! In contrast, the next day Yosemite was bright sunshine, not a cloud in the sky, and almost 100°. Kevin kept mentioning that he and I would go on a hike by ourselves, a hike that went to a waterfall. I was wondering why he kept mentioning doing a hike by ourselves, but went with it because it was something he was looking forward to. This hike he chose was 2 miles long, straight up the mountain. I wasn’t thrilled and after 1 mike was ready to go back down. But after a little encouragement from Kevin we kept going. FINALLY, we make it to the waterfall and I find the nearest spot to sit down, catch my breath, and drink some water. I’m looking around taking in the views of the valley and turn back towards the waterfall and there Kevin is down on one knee! But no ring in site! I said “Kevin what are you doing!?” I blinked and then he pulled out the ring. I was speechless! While I wasn’t so happy about the hike up, it was definitely the most beautiful spot to get engaged and I couldn’t have imagined it being any more perfect.”

What’s your favorite way to spend the weekend?

“We love starting our weekend by getting up early and taking a long walk with our dog. It is so peaceful walking in the city and by the water before the rest of the world is awake. That is definitely what we look forward to most about the weekend!”

“I love how caring he is towards me, his dedication to anything he does, and his passion for learning.”

For the groom: What are three things you love about your bride?

“I love Chrissy’s eyes, sweetness, and her love for everything.”

If you could go anywhere on a vacation, where would you go?

“The coast of Italy!”

Do you have any pets together? If so, what are they and what are their names!

“We have a sweet dog named Mabel!”

What was your favorite part of the engagement session?

“We loved getting to daydream about our wedding at the venue! We had a long day of photos ahead but it ended up being the best day and went by very fast!”

Advice for other couples who are prepping for their engagement session?

“Relax and just have fun during the session! Pictures can be really awkward but Bret and Brandie made them so fun, so don’t worry about that too much!”
