“We met when Scott worked at a gay bar named Number Nine. I (Hunter) knew the I wanted to get to know him better but I had to do my investigating first, months later we began talking and the rest is history from there.
I (Scott) got to meet Hunter during the pandemic setting when fewer people meant stronger more intimate connections and fell for him right away.”
Scott: “Initially it was when he broke one of my nice wine glasses and I didn’t get mad, but it was really when we met each other’s families in person and saw how well we integrated into each others lives and how loved and happy we felt.”
Hunter: “Like Scott said, family is something that is super important to both of us. The first time that Scott and I went to visit my family in Indiana, everybody fell in love with him. Knowing how much my family also loved him and could see how happy he made me, was the first moment that I knew I would be spending the rest of my life with him.”
“Enjoying our home full of love with our family.”
“October 18, 2020”
“September 28, 2022”
“At home with the dogs or on a tropical beach”
“The food tastings of course 😁 but for real watching our ideas and wishes come to life has really been a dream come true.”
“We just finishing moving from our one bedroom apartment in downtown DC to a 4 bedroom house in the suburbs of DC! We finally have the dream yard our dogs deserve, with enough room for a hot tub for us!”
“One of the first few times Hunter’s mom visited us in DC, she started to pretend to push Scott into the reflecting pool while walking around the monuments. It freaked Scott out, but also made him know he was finally apart of the family. We even referred back to the memory during our engagement shoot when Scott pretended to fake push Hunter into a pond.”
“While growing up in very different places, we always have similar if not identical views and opinions allowing us to almost always be on the same page or train of thought without even having to say anything. We are also both incredibly competitive and make an almost undefinable duo when it comes to video games (just ask Bret and Brandie about Mario Kart).”
“We’ve almost adopted numerous dogs we see online, but so far have had the self control not to… yet.”
“Not necessarily just one date, but successfully pulled off a surprised birthday trip out of the country for Scott’s 30th that was full of us time and date night every night was magical. That vacation has been our favorite trips so far and we came back home so much closer as a couple.”
“Looking cute while celebrating our love and getting to include some of our Indiana friends who have not been able to be involved in person with some of our wedding planning in DC.”
“A little bit of everything from stores over the years”
“Ironing, breathing exercises, and lots of positive manifestations.”
“Make sure you to not cut yourself right before because fingers bleed a lot!”
