“Patience is key. Try to remember to enjoy little moments with each other and try to make sure you have time to discuss marriage plans, not just wedding plans!”
“Our wedding ceremony took place in a church. It was a beautiful Spring wedding with Blush, Powder Blue and Champagne as the colors. We wrote our own vows and did a little something different for the unity ceremony afterwards. We decided to have a foot washing ceremony so that our first act as a married couple would be serving each other. Our reception was at a distillery and had a rustic bourbon barrel feel!”
Lee- “After the first look when we had a few moments to ourselves and got to do a few pictures alone!”
Shiloh- “This is hard for me because I have so many moments that I will cherish forever! I would have to say my absolute favorite was when Lee read me his vows. I know later in life if I could go back, I would relive that moment as much as possible!”
“10 of my closest friends and myself went to Miami and had the best time!! We went to the beach, went salsa dancing and never stopped laughing the entire trip!”
“My closest friends and I spent a night in a cabin in the mountains and then headed to Nashville for drinks the next day.”
“San Juan, Puerto Rico”
“Stepping away from our busy lives and just enjoying each other. The drinks by the pool were amazing as well!”
“Yes, we did! Originally, we didn’t think we wanted to but then we realize that the wedding day would be so busy and it would give us a chance to have a few moments together that we may not have gotten otherwise!
It was outside in front of the church. And I (Shiloh) wanted to pull a prank on Lee to take some of the pressure off of him. So I sent my brother with a veil on in my place first! So, when Lee turned around, he saw Alan instead of me! After some laughs, he turned back around and I came up for the real first look! It went so well! We enjoyed taking those few moments alone!”
“I (Shiloh) am moving to Georgia where Lee currently lives! So that means new job, new house and new life! We are so excited!”
“1. He is my protector. I never feel safer than when I am with him.
2. He make me feel beautiful even when I don’t feel it.
3. His smile. Gets me every time!”
“1. Her love for the Lord.
2. Her love for dogs!
3. Her love for her family!”
“Everyone was so helpful to me but if I had to name an MVP it would be Bridget Burshears. She went so far above and beyond what I asked of her. I couldn’t have asked for a better leader or friend to help me on my wedding day!”
“Let go of the little details because no one else notices them and it only causes unnecessary stress. Do what YOU want on your day! Don’t let others pressure you otherwise!”
“The groom had a surprise planned for the garter toss. He is a firefighter and the DJ for the reception was a police officer. So, Lee had the DJ play “Bad Boys” to start the removal of the garter. Then quickly changed it to “Fireman” by Lil Wayne. His friends ran in with his Firefighter gear and put it on to aid him in the removal of the garter. Needless to say, all of the women in there felt the heat!”
“The foot washing was definitely unique. We wrote our own vows and I (Shiloh) had my Dad make me my “something blue” in his dental lab with his lab putty so it would be meaningful to me.”
‘“Our Love” by Gary Clark Jr.’
“6 on each side plus a Jr. groomsman and Jr. Bridesmaid on each side! We also had 2 flower girls, a ring bearer and ring Security and a messenger!”
“Served!”
“Open bar!”
“Cheesecake and 4 types of wedding cake!”
“We actually donated the money we would have spent on favors to 2 organizations we like to support!”
