The Tichenor’s Family Session

Baby number 2 is on the way for this sweet family and we were BEYOND HONORED to celebrate and capture this season of life for the Tichenors.  These two are a legacy B&B couple!  We’ve had the honor of photographing their engagement session, wedding, first round of maternity photos and now this sweet session as well!! OUR HEARTS ARE SO FULL!  We love and adore all 4 of you so much!!! CONGRATS on NUMBER 2!!!

What is something that makes your family special?

Our family is so special to us! We are such a happy and positive household. There is always so much love and joy around! We spend so much time together and don’t like to do things that don’t include all three of us. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

What has been your favorite family vacation so far?

Our first trip to Florida was a flop! Poor Ella James ended up with a double ear infection and was so sick the whole time. We opted for more of a staycation for the next family trip and had a BLAST! We went to Evansville and went to the zoo, children’s museum and took her to make her first build-a-bear! We also went downtown to play at the park to have lots of quality family time before the sweet baby gets here!

If you could choose any way to spend a family night at home, what would you do?

We love making dinner together and then enjoying our yumminess as a family! We follow it up with lots of dress up, dancing and dessert made from Ella James in her kitchen.

What is the best memory you have of your family doing something together?

We have oh so many memories of family time together, but our favorite so far is when we first became a family! It wasn’t the easiest transition in the world with such a long labor and difficult recovery, but at that time no visitors were allowed at the hospital. This gave us uninterrupted quality time to start our family of three and ended up being such a wonderful memory!

What is your favorite family tradition?

Birthdays are so special in our family! Whoever’s birthday it is they get to pick what we have for dinner and our dessert! We make sure to have dinner just the three of us to celebrate the special day. Whoever’s birthday it is, they also get to use the “special plate” which is a red plate. This is a tradition that came from Grant’s family that we adopted when we got married 🙂

Would you rather time-travel into the past to meet your ancestors or into the future to meet your descendants?

We would love to go to the future! We have been together for almost 15 years and are so proud of the life we have built together. It would be so special to us to be able to see our legacy and what is still to come!

What’s next for your family?!

We cannot wait for Ella James to be a big sister! She has always loved her own babies and being in charge! She has been so sweet when talking about the baby and feeling it kick. It is going to be so special to see her face light up when she meets him/her for the first time!

What was your favorite part of your session with B&B?

We have known Bret and Brandie for almost 8 years now! They captured our engagement, wedding and maternity photos. They are so special to us and we were so happy they were able to capture our maternity/family photos for our second baby! It warmed our hearts watching how much they loved Ella James! They were such pros with her and it couldn’t have been more fun!
