Happy Monday eve, friends! As we are winding down this evening, we wanted to share a blog post to end the weekend on a high note! What better way than to introduce you to one of our newest B&B couples, Brad and Laura?! I first met Laura through mutual friends and a past bride, Bianca. I was instantly blown away with how sweet Laura was and I will never forget her telling me that when she got engaged she just KNEW that she wanted to use Bret and myself as their wedding photographers. I am always so humbled when brides tell me that pre-engagement! You can only imagine how excited I was to get the call from Laura that Brad had finally popped the question! Bring on the wedding planning and the pretty pictures!!
Bret and I were so excited to meet up with them for first time through a virtual coffee date. As much as we love meeting our clients at local coffee shops, we also can’t help but have a special love for our virtual dates. What’s not to love about getting to snuggle in in the comfort of our own home with some coffee and discuss future wedding plans with our sweet couples via FaceTIme?!?!
Virtual coffee dates also make meeting couples for the first time during their engagement sessions that much more exciting! We met Laura and Brad on a sunny afternoon and quickly exchanged welcome hugs and started off their session. I knew the session was going to be amazing when we began with not one, but two sweet pups. Yes, I said it…TWO dogs!! I was instantly in puppy heaven!! We had so much fun with the pups and as soon as one dog would look our way, the other would look the other way. But, that is normally how it goes, right?! In the end, Bret and I got some sweet shots of this sweet little fam and I’m going to go ahead and call it right now that those are probably going to be Laura’s favorite photos!! I mean how could they not be?? Look at those cute little bandanas!!
Laura’s mom came and took the dogs so that we could get down to business in the Parklands. The Parklands is a new gorgeous and magical park in Jasper, Indiana. We spent the rest of the evening venturing through the park and finding little secret spots where we could tuck into the pockets of light. You would never be able to tell by looking at this blog, but MAN, WAS IT WINDY?!?! Shew! There were moments when Laura’s hair was blowing straight behind her, HAHA! They both were troopers through the whole session, though, and laughed with us the entire time. We took our time that evening and did what we could to face the wind. Bret and I are all about Beyonce wind which is when the wind perfectly lifts your hair. But on that windy evening, our girl, Beyonce, was a little out of control! Laura was killing the style game in her white lace top and that blue skirt, OMG! I love to have a skirt to play with in the wind! The flowiness adds so much depth to these photos!!
We loved getting to know Brad and Laura during their engagement session. We could not have asked for better companions to face the wind with. We are so excited for their upcoming wedding and hope that you all will enjoy this sneak peek!
