Loogootee Indiana Wedding

Every once and a while a couple so extraordinary comes along that I almost can’t believe that shooting weddings is Bret and I’s job. Meet Mindy and Jarrod, two of our favorite humans on the entire planet and the absolute sweetest, dreamiest couple around! To know them is to love them, and that feeling was imminent on their wedding day. We are so incredibly excited to be able to share their blog today about their lovely wedding day.

I started off my day in Montgomery, Indiana as the girls got ready at Amber Jo’s Head to Toe Salon. When I walked through the door, Mindy was beaming with joy and excitement, and why shouldn’t she be? She was about to embark on one of the happiest days of her life!! The bridesmaids all wore their hair down in the most beautiful and simplistic of ways. These hairstyles really helped to complement the classic feel of Mindy and Jarrod’s big day. Jessica Guinn and Mallorie Layton fixed up the girls and their makeup – they are so uber talented!  They both took into consideration each bridesmaid’s personal style to create a unique but constant look for the entire bridal party.

While I spent some time with Mindy and her bridesmaids, Bret worked his magic with the detail shots. This ranks pretty high up on Bret’s list as his favorite thing about wedding days. Bret is very detail-oriented so he loves being able to capture the most minute of details in the shoes, the jewelry, the veil, etc. Brides spend so much time picking out the perfect accent pieces for their big day, but sometimes those small details can go unnoticed. We like to make sure that our couples have the most beautiful pictures of even the smallest of details! We will always take notice of your sparkly shoes and radiant jewelry!  It is so very important to us that you have these images to show for all of the hard work and time your put into your little details.

Jarrod and his groomsmen got ready at him and Mindy’s apartment, while the bridesmaids got ready with Mindy at St. John Catholic Church in Loogootee, Indiana.  Jarrod and his groomsmen looked rather dapper in their gray tuxes. These colors went really well with bridesmaid dresses which were absolutely breathtaking. I was blown away just looking at them hanging on their hangers before the girls were even dressed! Oh my gosh, they were just gorgeous! They were of the most stunning light blush color. This pale pink complemented Mindy’s dress PERFECTLY and really went well with the classic look of the entire day. Now let’s talk about Mindy’s gown…WOW WOW WOW! It fit her and her sweet personality perfectly. Pair her dreamy gown with the sheer sleeved jumpsuit, and her look was to die for! Elegant veil plus her long blonde hair, and flawless makeup…Mindy totally belonged in a magazine!

As the day went on, Mindy’s anticipation was at a high. Mindy was very vocal throughout planning their wedding day that the first look was one of the things that she was most excited about. When Jarrod turned around to see Mindy, it hit me in all the feels!! This was one of the most precious first looks that we’ve been witness to. It seemed as if they held onto each other forever, sneaking in kisses and glances the entire time. Jarrod’s smile was beaming!! The love that these two have for each other was felt throughout the entire day and that is so incredibly special!

Before the ceremony, we captured a few group shots of the entire bridal party. This is always a fun part of the day for us, getting to see how the group interacts with the couple and each other as a whole. During this part of the day, we typically have some of best laughs of the day. This group was no different. They were full of giggles and jokes. We could not have asked for a better fall day for these photos. It was timed perfectly with the peak of fall, full of gorgeous orange, red, and yellow hues.  Tie this together with some beautiful people and the beautiful, yet simple greenery of the bouquets and we’ve got ourselves one of our all time favorite weddings!

At last, we made it to the highly anticipated ceremony and boy, oh boy, the anticipation was so worth it! St. John Catholic Church was decorated so elegantly with the most subtle, classic and elegant touches. During the entire ceremony, all of the guests, including ourselves, were in complete awe of their admirable display of love. A charming couple inside and out, combined with an absolutely beautiful ceremony made for a picture-perfect day. Family and friends gathered from near and far to celebrate their marriage and it was a very joyful day for all involved!

After the ceremony, we captured some family photos before the bridal party loaded up on the party bus. Before heading to the reception, the party bus chauffeured them around town celebrating the love of Mindy and Jarrod. Once we arrived to the reception, we were blown away at the transformation of the venue. Jolene did a FABULOUS job with the décor.  We loved all of the ornate details, the greenery that draped every table, and just the all-around elegance of the space. We love that they displayed these characteristics throughout the entire day!

As Mindy and Jarrod danced the night away, their friends and family joined in. Although they were surrounded by a room full of people, you would have thought they were the only two in the room. It was the perfect ending to the most perfect day!

Mindy and Jarrod, we cannot thank you enough for including us in this special time in your life. It has been an honor working with the two of you. We hope you love some of favorites from that beautiful day. Enjoy!
