Bret and I have known sweet Kayla for quite a long time and just ADORE her! After meeting Devin at their downtown Indy engagement session last summer, we fell in love with him as well!! And we counted down the days until they tied the knot! Now, it may be obvious that we LOVE all things wedding but this wedding had something extra special going for it — it was our first time photographing a wedding as husband and wife! This just added so much more excitement and joy into our time with Kayla and Devin because we KNEW the wonderful feeling they were about to experience!! We were still feeling that newly wedded bliss (and still are!) so Bret and I are so thankful we got to celebrate that magic alllll over again!

Kayla and Devin’s wedding took place at Mill Top Banquet and Conference Center in Noblesville, Indiana. Let’s talk about this venue for a minute…one word — INCREDIBLE. This little slice of architectural heaven gives you everything you could want for your dream wedding day. Built in the 1800’s, it has history and sooo much character with brick walls, exposed beam ceilings, hardwood floors and wrought iron details. We would be happy to shoot there all day everyday… Perfect choice, Kayla and Devin!

We met the girls on the top floor in the bridal suite where hair and makeup was taking place. The ladies from Faces by Sky and Beauty and the Braid did a miraculous job, and watching these two work together was just WONDERFUL. We have seen a lot (and I mean a lot) of hair and makeup over the years and these two nailed it! They tag-teamed the task and sped through each one of the bridesmaids! Everyone looked beautiful and you could tell they loved every minute of doing what they do. Kayla’s turn in the chair came and we just loved hearing all the giggles from her bridesmaids as she made her transformation into a bride. This is such a special time for our brides and we love capturing it! After Kayla’s hair and makeup was perfected, her bridesmaids helped as she put on her GORGEOUS gown from Blue House Bridal. The whole room was in awe as Kayla’s bridal transformation was complete.

Friends, you all know how much we LOVE first looks, so, we were delighted that Kayla and Devin decided to share one! Their first look took place in the Loft area of the Mill Top… which is very private and intimate — a perfect setup for their special moment. Devin was anxiously waiting there first, cracking jokes with us.  We could just tell how very excited he was to see his bride for the first time!! It was a breathtaking moment hearing Kayla’s heels walk across the splendid original hardwood floors as she came into the room. She covered Devin’s eyes and they both giggled with pure excitement. As Devin turned around his entire demeanor and face changed…he was starstruck by his stunning soon to be wife!! They went in for a warm embrace but kept stepping back taking each other in as well.  We just love this moment for our couples!!

Kayla and Devin’s ceremony was adorned with beautiful string lights which set the perfect ambiance for their vows! The rustic charm of this venue with the brick walls made the room warm and inviting, as well as intimate with just their close family and friends there. After the ceremony, everyone danced the night away thanks to Circle City Sound and enjoyed delicious cupcakes from Simply Divine Cupcakes! Oh and the entire team at Mill Top was INCREDIBLE to work with, they helped to make this day perfection from start to finish for the sweet newlyweds! We are so excited for Kayla & Devin and wish them a happy ever after with lots of love & laughter! Congratulations again, you two!
