Evansville Indiana Intimate Wedding

There is just something about intimate weddings that speak to our hearts! We were so excited for the opportunity to take part in Kylie and Darren’s wedding day because watching them tie the knot with just their close family & friends present totally had us reminiscing on our own wedding!! We were on cloud nine as we spent the evening celebrating with these two! 

Kylie and Darren first reached out to us about a month and a half before their wedding…which means we squeezed allll of our usual pre-wedding shenanigans into a short amount time. This didn’t make a difference for any of us though because as soon as we met these two we just fell in love! They are spectacular, truly crazy about one another and just SO sweet. It was such a beautiful thing to hear how excited they were to marry each other and that they were focused on the marriage first and foremost.

The forecast the week leading up to Kylie and Darren’s wedding showed a 100% chance of torrential downpour for their day. (We are talking a 100% chance of rain the entire day!!) Ahh! However, these two gave us a photographer’s dream response to this dilemma – they smiled and said, “Whatever happens, happens. Rain or shine we are getting married!” As luck would have it we did not see a DROP of rain on their wedding day! We were all giddy with excitement at the clear skies!!

Kylie and Darren were married at Darren’s dad’s house in his picturesque backyard! Between the stately charm of the home and the lakefront views we knew they had selected the BEST location for their wedding celebration! After everyone was dressed and ready, we ventured outside to get the party started!! Kylie and Darren wrote letters to each other and read them before doing their first look…talk about sweetness! Oh my and that moment when Darren first saw his bride was MAGICAL!!  Kylie wore a gorgeous back-less gown and Darren wore the BIGGEST smile we’ve ever seen 😉 The kids, Landon and Claire were also such a big part of this special day and almost stole the show themselves! Kylie and Darren were adamant about including both kids as it was their big day as well so it was super fun pulling them in throughout the day. I teared up through their entire ceremony at the sheer magic of it all but was able to pull it together and get some STUNNING photos of these two during sunset.

We were so honored to spend this day with Kylie and Darren, we loved every minute of it!  Congratulations to the newlyweds!! Welcome to the marriage club! 🙂
