Oak Meadow Country Club Wedding

 

What do you get when you combine an adorable couple, a sprinkle of lavender & elegant greenery, a joyful family and a dash of golf?? You have the perfect recipe for Ashley and Adam’s dream wedding!! 

We first arrived with our cameras out and ready to capture the beginnings of this sweet day at The Loft on 6th in downtown Evansville!  As we climbed the stairs up to the chic space, we could hear the roaring giggles of Ashley & her bride tribe!   Naturally, we hopped right in and started celebrating, too!  Bret was in ‘detail’ heaven as he spent the next hour meticulously capturing all of Ashley’s details!  We are very intentional about snapping photos of every little thing because we know just how much heart and soul was poured into selecting each and every piece. The jewelry, the shoes, the dress…it’s all a part of their story.

Before we knew it, hair and makeup were wrapped up!  And ooooh that intricate bridal updo for Ashley was simply STUNNING!! The team from POSH Studio and the girls from Jessica Stewart Beauty were unstoppable and oh so talented!! But, my favorite part of the morning?? CONFETTI!! The bridesmaids tossed confetti and showered Ashley with love and laughs one final time as a single lady!! Those excited giggles were THE BEST!!!

As we were moving through the day, we were beyond impressed with just how stress-free this wedding day was!! We’re pretty sure the fact that these two are teachers definitely helped keep everything and everyone super organized!! 😉 (Teachers make the BEST clients!! Haha!)  Between Ashley’s wedding binder and her team of incredible vendors, there wasn’t a thing out of place!

Ashley and Adam shared the sweetest first look together!  When Ashley tapped Adam, he spun around with the biggest grin. They quickly fell into each other’s arms and whispered back & forth for a few minutes.  Pushing pause on the wedding shenanigans and taking a few moments to hold each other, to kiss each other, and to soak it all in makes for a magical experience. The tight embrace and the twinkle in their eyes say it all!!

This just may be the most beautiful wedding we’ve ever photographed…And while alllll the details were perfectly curated, this wedding was about so much more. This wedding was truly a celebration of a sweet new marriage centered around Christ.  (Cue the tears just reminiscing on their ceremony!!)  Ashley and Adam, we are so blessed by your story and wish you the very best!! Congratulations again you two!!

How did you meet? 

“We met through his younger brother, Nolan, in February 2017. I was an RA at USI in the freshman residence hall. Nolan and one of my residents thought it would be a good idea to set me up with Nolan’s older brother, Adam!  They told me about it and I didnt think much about it until I heard about ALL we had in common. I learned that he was a teacher, played golf & we shared the same faith.  A few days later, he messaged me on Facebook. We ended up meeting for coffee (pretty much as close to a blind date as it gets!) and after 2 1/2 hour of talking over coffee, he said, “if you would like, i would like to take you on a date sometime”.  Of course, I said “Yes, I would love that”.  He told me that he would call me and we could set it up. (Note: he said he would CALL ME — super old school and adorable!) We went on our “official” first date about 2 weeks later and the rest is history.” –Ashley

What are your favorite activities to do together?

“Golf, theme parks, walks on the river, eat ice cream, PIZZA. We love pizza. And arcades.”

What’s something you are both passionate about in life?

“We are passionate about teaching and making a difference in kids lives.”
