July’s #TuesdaysTogether was nothing short of amazing and fulfilling.  We were SO excited to officially have the first meeting at the Corner House B&B!  Special shoutout to Jenny for hosting us in her beautiful bed & breakfast!

Headshots

We decided to do a little give-back to this sweet community, and offered freebie headshots!  It’s something that I think we, as photographers, take for granted! Easy access to a professional camera means a headshot session pretty much whenever we are feeling up to it! The Rising Tide Society is based on the premises of pouring into and lifting up fellow creatives, so we were completely overjoyed to bring our cameras along and to share our gift with our sweet friends! 

Collectively we learned a couple things during the headshot hour before the official meeting.  We learned the infamous ‘Disney Princess Giggle’ and we learned that Bret’s knees sweat when he is on the verge of over-heating! Both things made us laugh and both are very valuable life-lessons. We had so much fun capturing a few fresh headshots for our friends!

Passive & Diversified Income

As the next hour rolled around, it was time to grab some wine, a slice of pie and dive into the month’s topic.  July = Passive & Diversified Income.  We were to talk about discovering strategies to maximize our expertise in multiple categories to diversify income stream through passive and active methods.  At first mention, the room was pretty quiet, hey, it’s not a topic that seems super intriguing, right?! But as we talked it through it, the ideas were flowing and wheels were turning. Before we even knew it, everyone was brainstorming all the different ways each person could generate more income within their business.  This love and outpouring of knowledge was inspiring. Now we are anxious to watch each other grow our businesses!  #winning

We slowly found ourselves transitioning into ‘therapy time’…oooh and how I adore this half of the meeting.  This is when questions are asked, advice is given and boats are raised.  For me, this time of the meeting is when the spirit of community feels most alive.  This group loves so deep and takes care of each other in the most beautiful way.  We are sooo lucky to sit in that circle, and to take turns lifting each other up.  Remembering and celebrating that we are alllll in this together creates such a sweet bond. 

Co-leading this group has forever changed our life.  As we reminisce on each conversation, our hearts explode with joy.  #communityovercompetetion is incredible.
