One of our favorite parts of being wedding photographers is the chance to meet so many incredible people! We’ve been very blessed to work with the world’s greatest clients, and every time we arrive on a wedding day, we immediately feel like family. And this wedding was no different! From our very first coffee date with these two, we fell in love!
We technically met Joe first…he was a groomsmen in Amanda & Jeffrey’s wedding last June! Bret hangs with the guys throughout the day, so he had the chance to chat with Joe quite a bit! We were SO excited when their inquiry popped in our inbox a few short weeks later!!
When Joe walked into Starbucks that day for our first meeting, he proudly introduced his sweet fiancé, Tanisha! We sat for hours talking, laughing and hearing alllllll about their love story. We smile now, because our time with them on that coffee date was the beginning of the best journey! Between the first meeting, the engagement session, a maternity session, date night and all the messages in between, we were sooo lucky to work with Joe & Tanisha!!
Their wedding day was absolutely one for the books!! It was one of those Southern scorchers…it was HOT! Even with the rising temperatures and the insta-sweat humidity, these newlyweds were full of joy!! Their first look had us all emotional…He cried, she cried, we cried…it was such a beautiful moment. Joe was beyond thrilled to see his bride for the very first time. (First looks are pretty much the best thing ever!!)
Here’s where we give a shout-out to the amazing and super cooperative bridal party!! We had to do a little strategic maneuvering for grabbing all of those photos!! It was roasty toasty outside, and we knew we couldn’t keep everyone out for longer than 10 minutes at a time, so we got creative! We would practice every photo inside first, then run outside, grab the photo, and sprint back into the blissful air conditioner as fast as we could! It never failed, we were full of giggles watching everyone make that dash every time! But hey, whatever works, right?! ???? Everyone was happy to avoid the heat, AND we managed to knock out the bridal party photos in record time! #winning
When we look back on these photos, we see so much joy and happiness!! We are so excited these two are finally married!! Yay!! Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Chamberlain!!
“It was our last night in the Dominican Republic and Joe had arranged a private catamaran ride to a secluded section on the beach where we would have a luxurious 4 course meal…. but it started pouring right when we got to the dock to board the catamaran. So we settled for a meal back at the resort restaurant. After dinner, Joe asked if I wanted to take a walk on the beach. As we were on the beach it started raining again but Joe insisted we find someone to take a picture of us before we go back to our room. As I was looking around trying to find someone to grab a snapshot… he got down on one knee with the most beautiful ring EVER.” -Tanisha
We enjoy going on walks, spending time with Hudson, and trying new recipes from Pinterest.
