A Cozy Sunday Corner House B&B Wedding

Finally!! We made it to Friday! Is it just me or do some weeks just take waaaay longer than others?! We are spending this chilly Friday morning knocking out our long to-do lists before we head out this weekend to Arizona for our photography conference!! We have been waiting for this weekend for so very long and it is finally here! Before we head out, though, let’s knock out this list!! First up, let’s reminisce about sweet Lauren and Ben…

Lauren and Ben messaged us months ago that they had the perfect day planned at the Corner House Bed and Breakfast in Rockport, Indiana, but that they were still needing a wedding photographer which led them to us. It would be the very first request that we have had for a Sunday wedding and we very happily agreed. We were so excited to meet them for our first coffee date at Starbucks (big surprise there…what can we say, we LOVE coffee!! LOL). We loved hearing their wedding plans down to the smallest details and you could just tell even in that moment that they were both so stinking excited to get to marry each other. It was seriously precious in every definition of the word!!

On the day of Lauren and Ben’s wedding, we woke up to chilly air and sunny skies. We first met up with them at some cute little houses on top of the hill at the Newburgh Lock and Dam.  The bridesmaids were snuggled up in one house and the groomsmen were in the adjacent house next door. As we were making our way up the hill, we immediately found the girls’ house!! How, you ask?!! Well, because the house was full of laughter. I got there as the girls were putting a few final touches on their perfect bridesmaid look. Next up…the bride and oh my gosh, was she gorgeous or what?!! Lauren’s beautiful dress came from House of White in Newburgh. As she was putting on that two-piece dress, it took our breath away literally and figuratively. She was absolutely stunning in every way! She took her time getting ready so she could soak in all the memories and enjoy adding those final bridal touches to her look. 

Once her transformation was complete, we took her downstairs where her bridesmaids anxiously awaited her arrival. As soon as the girls opened their eyes, the room erupted into laughter and tears. I love being able to capture such radiant smiles during these moments. That genuine, raw emotion between a bride and her girls is unforgettable! We then snapped a few portraits overlooking those pretty views before loading up and venturing down to the Corner House in Rockport. I loved that the groomsmen wore a coordinating tux color different from Ben’s. And, that navy with that yellow was to-die-for!!! Navy has been such a popular color this year and I am loving it…especially in the fall!! I mean does it get much better?!

Lauren and Ben got married at sunset on the Corner House’s sweet little magical hill surrounded by family and friends. The couple and everyone around them smiled throughout the entire ceremony and it was sincerely the sweetest ceremony. I loved watching them promise forever to each other oh sooooo much. True everlasting love just hits me in the feels EVERY time! After the ceremony had commenced, we hopped right into family photos, bridal party photos, and then ended with the bride and groom as the sun was setting. We got some magical pictures before we headed into the barn to end the night dancing with their family and friends. 

It was a very sweet day in the most perfect way. We loved being able to celebrate with Lauren, Ben, and their sweet little girl, Charlie. We cannot wait to see where your future takes you, Lauren and Ben! Enjoy your sneak peek!
