There is just something so soothing about being cuddled up on the couch with Bret and Carson while we watch Netflix with the Christmas tree lit up in the background. This time of the year gives me all the feels. I love being able to spend ample amounts of time with our family and friends, and the occasional glass of wine. We are so incredibly blessed and the holidays just make me reflect back on all that we have been given. Our clients are one of our top blessings and we got to meet with one of our sweet couples recently for their engagement session. Meet Haylee and Dillon — I think that you’ll love them just as much as we do!

Bret and I are completely obsessed with Haylee, Dillon, and their sweet furbaby, Riley. I was so stinking excited when we woke up to the most beautiful day! This day was specially made for this occasion! We met Haylee and Dillon at Yellow Creek Park in Owensboro, Kentucky. It was legitimately the PERFECT fall day!! We found some really beautiful spots with the perfect natural light to tuck into. There were sooooo many brightly colored leaves that it made my heart so giddy!! Their outfit choices complemented the natural background perfectly and we could not have asked for better!!

At the beginning of their session, they brought Riley, their mini golden doodle. I hate to break it to Haylee and Dillon, but Riley absolutely stole the show. During their session, we posted on our Instagram page a sneak peek of the three of them! We received so many direct messages from followers talking about how adorable their sweet pup was. I have a feeling that she may officially steal the spotlight in their gallery. She would tilt her little head just slightly during all of the pictures and we just couldn’t get enough. After Riley left with a family friend, we spent the rest of our time shooting their sunset session. 

Before we found the perfect spot, Bret and I took a short moment to stop and pause. There it was…the perfect spot!!! We had discovered a construction zone. Wait, what?!?! Yes, a construction zone!! In the midst of the mess, we saw a beautiful pocket of light and just knew that it was going to be perfect for their pictures. As we were walking to our new spot, I’m pretty sure that Haylee and Dillon thought we sounded crazy (it wasn’t the first time, and it definitely won’t be the last). But, we asked them to trust us, and those two trusted us with everything they had! The pictures were magical and probably even more perfect than what Bret and I could have hoped and dreamed for. We love having that bond with our sweet clients and we love building an insurmountable trust.  Haylee and Dillon, we absolutely cannot wait for your wedding day!! (And, some sweet puppy play dates!!!)
