A Stunning Engagement Session on USI Campus

Christmas is over and we are back to the grind after a few days off with family and friends! While the holidays were absolutely wonderful, we are so happy to be back to work! I’m not sure many people could say that they are excited to get back to work after a holiday weekend, but this job has us wanting more ALL. THE. TIME!! So, let’s start off with a bang!! No better way to start the weekend than with reminiscing on Dana and Blake’s engagement session.

This time of the year, we find ourselves playing by Mother Nature’s rules and she can be a little moody in the winter! We had one session scheduled with Dana and Blake originally that had to be rescheduled due to sleet — yuck! We crossed our fingers and hoped for good weather for the reschedule date. Mother Nature was on our side this time and she knew exactly what she was doing!! It was a beautiful and warm mid-December day full of sunny skies! There was oodles of that magical sunlight that we are complete suckers for!

We met Dana and Blake at the University of Southern Indiana on the west side of Evansville, Indiana. We chose USI because it was close to their home and it is an absolutely beautiful campus!! We perused the grounds searching for that creamy, dreamy sunlight that would be peeking into the most beautiful places. One of the favorite parts of all our sessions is chasing that absolutely perfect sunlight!! There was so much beautiful light to be found during their session…I mean just look at those sunset shots!!! SWOON!!!

I think that my favorite part of the whole session was watching Blake make Dana erupt into the sweetest of giggles. She constantly had a sweet little twinkle in her eye that made it so stinking obvious how much love she had for that man! They spent literally the entire session being cute as pie and snuggling into each other. I know for sure that those adorable smiles we see are 110% genuine!! We had so much fun laughing and talking about their wedding plans! Fun was had from beginning to end and I always cherish meeting a couple that we can laugh like old best friends with! If these engagement photos are any indication of what is to come for their wedding, we absolutely cannot wait!!!
