While this next session ranks high for both Bret and I, it may be one of Bret’s top sessions EVER. Give Bret some pretty plants, flowers, and landscaping, and he is in heaven. Over the years, he has found an indescribable love for plants and he was so excited to take on Bailey and Ben for that reason, as well as many other reasons.
Ben and Bailey are literally two of our favorite people. They are the definition of a power couple that everyone should strive to be more like. They both are entrepreneurs and so stinking inspiring and just all-around incredible to be around. We have known them for a little while so we were so excited to celebrate their engagement with a dreamy session. And, it was just as amazing as we had hoped for!! We were so excited as we started planning out all of the details. We knew that this one was going to be special!!
What we did not know was that Bailey was going to be wearing the most magical, flowy, and legitimately beautiful maxi dress ever. When she first opened the door to their home, the first thing I thought of was a Disney princess. It was unbelievable, friends! We started out their session at their home in Evansville, Indiana. They have an absolutely beautiful home and Ben is in landscaping. He actually owns The Rooted Barrel in Evansville. As you can imagine, the yard was manicured to a tee and looked oh-so-amazing! We spent the first part of the session tucking into all of the dreamy pockets of sunlight all throughout their property.
Bailey and Ben are having a backyard wedding in June and will be surrounded by family and friends. I am absolutely obsessed with this – it makes my heart so full. It is so stinking nice that these pictures were taken not only in their home, but also where they will tie the knot in a few short weeks! I loved watching them twirling, dancing, snuggling beneath the sunset. Bailey’s skirt was soooo perfect for twirling!
Our next stop on the agenda was The Rooted Barrel and we were so excited to make our way there. The Rooted Barrel has been a labor of love between the two of them. I would describe this place as a magical greenhouse garden center! They have built a beautiful business together and share a love of plants. They love sharing this place with the community, so where better than to snap some photos?! We were oh-so-excited to venture out there with them. Obviously, we were obsessed, to say the least. We are plant people and this put us right smack dab in the middle of our happy place!! IT WAS AMAZING!! We ended our session with Bailey and Ben as they snuggled in the greenhouse snuggling surrounded by greenery and so many blooms!!
In just a few short weeks, we will be watching Bailey and Ben say“Ido” and we could not be more excited!! But until then, check out this awesome sneak peek!!
