Our bellies and hearts are full over this Thanksgiving holiday. We have SO SO much to be thankful for this year. The joy in our hearts has overflowed as we have added some of the most magnificent couples to the B&B family! We have spent the last few days talking about how grateful we are for our couples. You guys make our world go round and we are so appreciative for each and every one of you! We are especially grateful for this next couple, and our sweet besties, Amber and Alex!
We have had the honor of photographing Amber and Alex during many milestones along their relationship — even their sweet proposal that Alex sneakily planned with Bret and I! Amber has been my best friend since forever — twenty years and counting! There has been so much love and excitement surrounded around their wedding and we are oh so happy for two of our best friends! Amber and I have been busy planning the wedding and in the midst of all the wedding shenanigans, we had planned to head down to Savannah, Georgia for their engagement session. ROAD TRIP!
We were over the moon and jumping for joy as we all loaded up (really stinking early, LOL) for an old-fashioned weekend road trip! We were so pumped to be heading down for their session!! We snuggled in the car and the road trip was everything it should be with your BFF…singing, laughing, storytelling, and watching Disney+ 🥰 When we finally made it to our destination, we arrived to less than perfect weather. Mother Nature was really showing off for us and not exactly in the best way. It was rainy, cloudy and unseasonably cold for Savannah, but we didn’t let that rain on our parade (pun intended)! Amber booked us the cutest AirBnB right down from Forsythe Park! Guys, our house was PINK so naturally I was in love! The first night, we made up our game plan, snuggled in on the couch, ordered some Uber Eats, and rested up for their session!
That Saturday, we ventured out to some of Savannah’s most iconic spots. Forsythe Park and Wormsloe Plantation were at the top of our lists! We spent the day venturing out to historic areas to find the perfect spots! We were dying to take their pictures and watch them snuggle in front of some of the most beautiful scenery. We had so much fun on our adventure! Amber and Alex’s session was completely magical in every single way! The two of them laughed and snuggled together even with all the crazy wind and rain. Despite the dreary weather, they still looked effortlessly in love. And trust me, watching your BFF be wildly in love with her dream fella is one of the coolest things on the planet and getting to photograph it is even cooler!!
Before we ventured home, we decided to travel a little further out to Tybee Island. The weather was still a little dreary with high winds and cool weather, but we captured some of the most romantic photos ever! With Amber’s wind-swept hair and flowy skirt, it was the icing on the cake! We loved every second of the trip and it has definitely gone down as one of our favorite sessions in the history of B&B. We can’t wait to keep on keeping on with all the wedding planning and absolutely cannot wait to shower them with all the love and attention those two so deserve on their wedding day!!
