A Beautiful Virginia Wedding at Stone Tower Winery

 

Spending this beautiful wedding day with Caitlin and Jason was MAGICAL and capturing alllll of their sweet memories was the highest honor in the world, friends!! Tell us a bit about your wedding.

“Our wedding day was an absolute dream come true! We spent the morning getting ready at Stone Tower Winery. Although we had a brief rain shower, the day was beautiful and perfect in every way. We got married in our church – St. Theresa – and returned to Stone Tower to celebrate with all our family and friends. Our colors were purples, mauves, champagnes, and gold, which although was planned for April, was just as beautiful in August! It was a day full of love and family. We even got to share a few moments with our sweet pup, Louie, who was also featured on our signature drink sign!”

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

“How can you pick just one thing??? The entire day was amazing! For Caitlin – the first looks with my Dad and Jason really stand out as favorite moments, but the whole day was everything I could have dreamed of and more! For Jason – it was definitely the first look with Caitlin. I had been bugging her to let me see what the dress looked like prior to the wedding, and was so glad she held off until that moment. I’m pretty sure I was bawling in front of the cameras.”

Did you two do a first look?

“Yes!!! Because Bret & Brandie totally convinced us – and MAN, were they right!!! It was a great decision for logistical reasons, but it was a really special and intimate moment for us that we will never forget.”

Tell us about it!

“Ahhh…I still have goosebumps thinking about it. It was such a special and intimate moment for Jason and me. My dad escorted me to the beautiful yard of the Farmhouse, where Jason was waiting. I felt so calm, knowing I would finally get to hug & kiss him! He looked so handsome in his tux!! We read our wedding day letters to each other…so many happy tears!”

“In Jason’s perspective – I was told that Caitlin’s Dad was going to escort her out to the to the yard where I had been waiting. It may have been a total time of 30 seconds… to me it was more like 30 minutes. I felt every little thing while anticipating, waiting for Caitlin to come behind me. I remember looking up at the sky and thinking just how beautiful this day was and how perfect everything is going to be. The sky was blue and the wind had just picked up enough to sway the crepe myrtle tree that I was standing underneath. I felt Caitlin’s presence behind me and she tapped me on the shoulder to turn around. I immediately lost it after seeing this stunning beautiful vision of Caitlin in her white wedding dress. It was so perfect.”

What’s next? What are you two planning on tackling next in life?

“We are moving to Bangkok, Thailand at the end of September!”

For the bride: What are three things you love about your groom?

“Jason is the most thoughtful person I have ever met. He puts the needs of so many others before his own, and he inspires me to be a better person every day. Jason makes me laugh SO hard – we have so much fun together. And, he makes me feel SO beautiful and loved – whether we are sitting on the couch drinking coffee in the morning, or all decked out in our wedding day attire! He is so amazing and I am so lucky! Oops..was that more than 3 things?!”

For the groom: What are three things you love about your bride?

“Caitlin is beautiful inside and out period. I can’t even tell you how much she cares for everyone around her and making sure that they have been loved and taken care of. She is the definition of beauty, grace and a saint. She makes me be a better person every day and the challenges me to be even better. She keeps me on my toes and keeps me well dressed/fashionable for all the special occasions. She is the best part about me.”

Advice for other couples who are planning their own wedding right now?

“Take some time to stop and smell the roses. Planning a wedding can be stressful – not to mention during a pandemic, but remember WHY you are doing this! Look at your partner, tell them how much you love them…no matter what happens on your wedding day, it will be the most perfect day because you have each other. Try to enjoy the planning process as much as you can, and make decisions for each other!”
