Rolling Hills Country Club Engagement Session

Ahh!! Fall is our FAVORITE time of the year…the weather is perfect and the sunshine is extra creamy + dreamy!  Add in an engagement session with a sweet couple and we are the happiest humans on Earth!!! 🥰 Meagan and Kyle’s session was oh so fun and full of giggles!! Everything was magical!!  We adore these two so much!  Read this sweet couple’s Q&A below!💕

How did you meet?

“We have a ton of mutual family friends. I had heard that Kyle was interested in me from a few people. I slid right into those DM’s with a, “hey you should text me sometime” with my number. Bold, but it worked!”

What was your first date?

“Kyle picked me up and we went to Cafe Arazu in Newburgh. We both were so nervous, but after a few glasses of wine (probably too much for me😆) it was all fine. After dinner, we walked down to the wine festival that was going on the riverfront and then went to meet his best friend and wife for a drink. I remember at dinner I was cutting my chicken and a piece flew across the table into my purse and I just let it be because how awkward. I kept thinking, I really I hope he didn’t see that chicken fly across the table, haha. Classic me, though. Side note: he noticed. We’ve been dating ever since our first date!”

When did you get engaged?

“February 15, 2020!”

How did he propose?

“He told me he had a Valentine’s Day surprise for me and I HATE surprises. We headed to the Newburgh riverfront with my son, Brooks. For those of you who don’t know, Kyle’s family owns a family business that runs towboats and barges.  I see an EMS towboat approach the bank and I was thinking… “why is it so close…that’s weird”.  As it gets closer, Kyle gets down on one knee and proposes. I look over and the boat is named, Brooks Andrew, after my son. I will never forget the look on his face. It is a moment we will both cherish forever.

Through all of this, I look up and I see my sister, best friend (both were another surprise), my mom, his mom, and his sister popping in the window of what used to be Edgewater Grille. They all came running out! Then came another surprise… we took a party bus (the highlight of the night for Brooks) to the zoo, where the Amazonia area was rented out with all our friends and family with amazing live music by Lindsey Williams. It was so magical in there!”

What are your favorite activities to do together?

“We love to be outside exploring in the woods with Brooks, going to the lake, or hanging with our friends and family.”

For the bride: What are three things you love about your groom?

“I love that Kyle is patient, kind-hearted, dedicated to our family! I love the way he loves Brooks.”

For the groom: What are three things you love about your bride?

“Meagan is an amazing mother, trustworthy, and very thoughtful/loving!”

Describe yourselves as a couple.

“We love being goofy and messing around with each other. We both just love to make each other laugh!”

What do you both do for a living?

“We both work for our family businesses. I work at Working Distributors, the Anheuser-Busch wholesaler in Southwest Indiana. Kyle works at Evansville Marine Service, they provide a wide variety of services to barge towing companies, terminals and other marine facilities. We both really connected on that fact that we’re involved in family businesses and we both hold it very dear to our hearts.”

What was your favorite part of the engagement session?

“Working with Bret and Brandie was our favorite part. They make it fun and make you feel so comfortable!”
