Ahh!! These two are unbelievably SWEET and oh so in love! 💕 We had the BEST time with Erin and Charleston at their engagement session! Between the giggles, snuggles, glorious outfits, and that magical sunset we were in photographer heaven!! 😍 Enjoy reading Charleston and Erin’s fun Q/As below (they really are just the cutest things!!)!!
“We met in November 2015 through a mutual friend. I (Erin) was at a wedding and received a text from my friend asking if I would be out at the bar tonight. I told him that I hadn’t decided yet.
Charleston was working in Evansville at the time on 2nd shift and randomly got off early that night and decided to go out with some friends. I decided last minute to leave the wedding and stop by the bar where we ended up being introduced by our mutual friend.
My (Erin) first thought was, “Wow, he’s so tall and cute. Please don’t be weird.”
My (Charleston) first thought was, “*sees Erin walk in the bar with wind blown hair* Who is THAT?””
“We went to grab a bite to eat and came back to my house for a movie night.”
“We went and spent a whole weekend in St. Louis together. We went to a cardinals game, watched the following game from a rooftop bar, had brunch, rode bird scooters around, when on the Budweiser tour, etc.”
“We started “officially” dating June 18th 2016.”
“We don’t need much. A yummy dinner (with possibly something sweet after) and a few cocktails is all we need.”
“We got engaged June 18th 2020.”
“We all headed to the cabin on June 18th (a Thursday) to start a long weekend at the lake. I was still living in Louisville for grad school, so I was meeting him and my mom down there. When we got there I had to do a little bit of school work and Charleston cooked dinner. After dinner, Charleston said he was going down to the gazebo to have a drink and listen to some music and he asked if I wanted to come. I told him that I would probably pass because I didn’t want to get eaten alive by mosquitos. Charleston had been down there for a while and my mom kept asking me if something was wrong with Charleston. I told her that he was probably just having a quiet day (those are rare but they do happen). She asked once again and I told her I would text him to double check that he was okay (she was trying to get me to go down to the gazebo to check on him so he could propose).
Charleston responded that he was fine and asked me to bring him a beer. I walked down with a beer and started giving him a hard time about “not even meeting me halfway”. I handed him the beer and he got up and hugged me and told me that he loved me (I still didn’t think anything about it because he gives random hugs all the time). He then said “Four years ago, I made the second best decision of my life, and today I want to make the best one.” He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. My ears were ringing and all I could say was “Are you kidding?” over and over again.
We always knew that we would get married one day, but I had no idea that this would be the day. Everything didn’t go as planned for him due to my stubbornness, but I was so happy that he chose to do it this way because he asked me four years ago on that day to be his girlfriend under that same gazebo.”
“We enjoy spending our summers at Rough River on the boat or at the cabin. We also enjoy going on walks/runs, watching a good movie/show together, and lounging on the beach.”

“Erin would force any animal to love her and Charleston is team dog.”
“1. I love his love for life. His favorite quote is “Get busy living” and I think that describes him perfectly. To him, there is no such thing as wasting a day away. To him, every day needs to be fully embraced and productive socially or physically (except Sundays).
2. I love how he kisses me on the forehead EVERY single morning before work. I’m lucky enough to have my day started with love and someone telling me that I am loved. He has forgotten to a couple times in the past and I’ll get a text message of him freaking out because he realized he forgot haha.
3. I love how much he cares and gives. Charleston would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He cares for me and the ones he loves deeply.”
“1. The way she cares for myself and the people around her.
2. Her work ethic
3. The ability to do laundry 😊. Lucky for me, Erin actually enjoys doing laundry.”
“We are both very passionate in building/creating a happy life and home.”
“Our favorite part of the engagement session was watching you guys work your magic. You can tell that you guys really know what you are doing from the lighting choices to moving our hands and hair to look perfect for the photo.”
“I bought my two dresses from Vick and from Baltic Born. My sweater is from Peacocks and Pearls.”
“His jeans are from A&E. Burnt Orange long sleeve shirt is from the one and only Target and the button up is from Express.”
“Just be authentically YOU.”
