Oh Kristen and Nic…you two and your intimate wedding ceremony was absolutely perfect! These two were married on the most beautiful Spring day with their closest family around them. Their romantic dinner party at Funxion in Boonville was oh so dreamy and full of sweet love. We are obsessed!! Read more about the sweet newlyweds and see a few of our favorite photos from their wedding celebration below!
“Our wedding was at a beautiful restored building on Main Street in Boonville, Funxion Events. Funxion has brick walls, exposed beam ceilings, and a gorgeous sliding barn door, to name a few of their special attributes. We wanted to celebrate its beautiful rustic feel with minimal decor and let the venue be the star!
Our colors were pink and yellow (which just so happen to be my favorites) and the flowers were a blush pink rose and yellow sunflowers. Special touches included watercolor pet portraits of our two cats, Sunflower and Winslow, and our dog, Remington; a wooden plank remembrance sign for our loved ones we miss; and a red Radio Flyer wagon to hold the favor bags, which was Nic’s first Christmas present from his Granny and Pa Orth.
We wanted our special day to feel like a fun dinner party with our closest family members, so we planned a cozy, intimate ceremony and dinner with 18 of our immediate family members! Both mine and Nic’s siblings, our niece and nephews were a part of the ceremony, which was really special to us.”
Nic – “When we said I do and I married you” *swoon*!!!
Kristen – “It’s so hard to pick my favorite part of the wedding day, but my absolute favorite part was the sweet sentimental ceremony and hearing Nic read the vows he wrote to me. My second favorite part of the day was after dinner when our families were together laughing and drinking and just being together. It was magical. And a verrrrry close third were the toasts Kellen and Dillan gave! Kellen’s speech was so special and I’ll never forget it <3”
“A sleepover at The Loft on 6th in downtown Evansville! It was such a blast! We had pizza and margaritas and played truth or dare in our jammies :)”
“Camping in Tennyson, Indiana at his brother-in-law’s parents’ land! This included smores, campfire brats and bacon, Razr rides, and lots of beer and bourbon ;)”
“We have plans for some projects at our house including, an addition of a sunroom-dining room, new floor, update the paint, etc. We want to enjoy the rest of 2021 as newlyweds and then hopefully on to the adventure of parenting!!! :)”
“I absolutely love his heart- he is such a sweetheart and fiercely loves his family and friends. This goes along with his loyalty, Nic is loyal almost to a fault. I love his intelligence and curiosity for learning! Nic is one of the most intelligent people I know and he is always seeking to learn more about anything and everything. I also love his humor, we are never without laughter!
“I love her personality because Kristen is so kind-hearted and giving. I love her sense of humor!”
“My mom and mother-in-law, and my sister, the matron of honor! They were always there to answer questions, give their opinions, and handle tasks I just didn’t feel up to at times. They also encouraged me when I needed a word of positivity!”
“Make your wedding exactly what YOU want! Family and friend opinions and traditions are important, but don’t forget that the big day is about the two of you! We did without several traditional aspects of a wedding celebration, but it was just what we wanted and the perfect day for us!”
“Don’t forget the point of the day, the two of you becoming husband and wife!! It is easy to get caught up in the hype of the celebration and feeling like you HAVE to do certain things, but that’s not the case! Focus on your wants and needs and make it your most special day….everything else is just icing on the cake!”
“We repeated traditional vows and we also recited vows we had written. I didn’t want to choose one or the other, so we did both!”
“Processional – Claire De Lune by Debussy
Recessional – Head Over Boots by Jon Pardi”

“Both!”
