“Don’t sweat the small stuff! There are so many moving parts to planning a wedding and it’s important to not get hung up on little things that inevitably don’t matter. Also – trust the people around you and lean on them. I am blessed to have an amazing family that helped me a ton, and I truly couldn’t have done it without them. My mom did so much of the planning and I really trusted her on some big decisions that I couldn’t make on my own and I’m so glad that I did because everything turned out perfectly :)”
“We got married in City Church in downtown Evansville which is a non denominational church. I am Christian and Joe is Catholic, so we incorporated both of our backgrounds by having a pastor perform the ceremony and his priest say a prayer and give his blessing during the ceremony. It was very special. Our reception was at Evansville Country Club and luckily the weather was on our side because we had it outside on the back patio and first tee box. The sunset could not have been more beautiful during our first dance! It was all black and white and had a classy, elegant vibe. It was actually the first wedding reception ECC had outside so there were a lot of moving parts to planning it, but it couldn’t have gone better!!”
“Finally getting to be with Joe 🙂 We didn’t see each other until I walked down the aisle, so it was a very special moment to finally see each other. Although every moment of that morning was amazing with my family and friends, I feel the fun truly began when Joe and I could be together and we were finally married.”
“Yes, we went to St. Lucia and stayed at Sandals Grande St. Lucian. – HIGHLY recommend!!”
“Just being together! This past year has been a whirlwind of wedding planning, having opposite work schedules, traveling for weddings – it was so nice to be together just the two of us. We stayed at an amazing all inclusive and planned all of our dinners/excursions the first day we got there, so we literally didn’t have to think about anything the rest of the trip and could just have fun. Since it was a Sandals, we also made a bunch of couples friends that we hung out with while we were there, which was so cool and special. It was awesome to be surrounded by so many happy newlyweds and made our honeymoon feel even more special.”
“It is so hard to choose just 3 – but I absolutely love how kind Joe is. He can be friends with just about anyone and is so personable. I’ve never met anyone that doesn’t love Joe. He is also incredibly encouraging, and supports me in all things that I do. He is very open-minded and adventurous, and I know our life is going to be so much fun together!! :)”
There are so many qualities I love about Meg but if I had to limit it to three it’d be the following. First, I love her selflessness as she never puts herself first and she always makes everyone feel heard and loved. Second, she is honest in everything she does and can be trusted with anything. Lastly, she is loyal and would do anything for her friends, family or a stranger. I’m lucky to call her my best friend and my wife!!”
“My amazing mom!!! I truly, truly could not have done it without her. I currently live in St. Louis and because my wedding was in my home town of Evansville, it made it a little bit more challenging to plan – especially when it came to the last few months and all of the details. My mom deserves all of the credit in the world because the day would not have been possible without her. Also, my dad’s love and support and trust throughout the whole process was so so appreciated as well 🙂 I am very fortunate to have such amazing parents and could never thank them enough! I also had the BEST wedding planner there is – Jamie Brewer. If you are planning a wedding in the Evansville area, I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend you work with Jamie. She went above and beyond in every aspect of our wedding and truly made our vision come to life. The day of the wedding was completely stress free for myself and my parents because she took care of absolutely everything. She is a true gem of a human being and wedding planner :)”
“Try to enjoy the planning process – it really flies by! As mentioned earlier, don’t sweat the small stuff and just have fun with it! You will never have this time back so although it can be stressful, enjoy it and just take it all in!”
“Honestly, not really! Or at least I didn’t know about it (shoutout Jamie)!”
“You Are the Reason by Calum Scott”
Can You Feel the Love Tonight Can’t Help Falling in Love Canon In D Holy Ground L.O.V.E. We had amazing musicians play during our ceremony that were incredible – Gina Moore (vocalist), Bob Green (pianist), and Patrick Strasik (violinist)”
“11 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen”
“Wedge salad to start, surf and turf dinner (filet, prawns, parmesan risotto and broccolini) – served”
“Open bar🥂”
“Our wedding cake – strawberry with cream cheese icing and vanilla with raspberry filling :)”
“Well we closed on our very first home together 2 days after we got home from our honeymoon – so that is definitely our next big adventure! We are planning on renovating some of it, so we can’t wait to tackle all of those fun projects ahead and make it our own. We also hope to get our first dog within the next 6 months or so :)”
