Kelsi and Andrew’s Engagement Session

Ahhh! We are just so obsessed with this cutie couple!!😍 Kelsi and Andrew’s engagement session was full of our favorite things…giggles, sweet snuggles, creamy sunsets and lots of adventures!! 🙌🏼 We ventured alll over their hometown to visit some of their favorite spots for their session!! It was SO fun!! That old saying is SO true with these two…to know Kelsi & Andrew is to love them! 🥰❤️✨ Here’s to sweet love, lots of laughter and their happily ever after! Let the wedding countdown begin!!💕

How did you meet?

“We met in middle school! We started “dating” when we were in sixth and eighth grade respectively, but basically we were just best friends back then. Then, when we were both in high school we started going on real dates, and we’ve been together since! On December 12, 2012, we made things “official”!”

What was your first date?!

“Our parents dropped us off at the Carmi Movie Theater to watch the last installment of the Twilight series!”

What would the perfect date night look like or include?

“Our perfect date looks like a day on the boat, soaking up the sunshine, enjoying some yummy grilled food, and ending the night sitting around the fire making s’mores!”

When did you get engaged?

“June 18, 2022”

How did he propose?!

“We spent the day together, first going to see the final installment of our one of our favorite movie series, then having dinner at one of our favorite spots. After dinner, we headed down to the lake for a sunset boat ride. We listened to some music and just chatted about how much we love it there. Then when we got close to the house again, he got down on one knee and proposed. I was so surprised! He also had our families hide in the house to be with us on this special day. Finally, my best friend who happens to be a photographer was there, and she captured the moment, as well as some special pictures afterwards. It was a perfect day!”

What are your favorite activities to do together?

“We love boating, watching comedy movies, playing with our dogs, hanging out with friends, and spending time with our families.”

What are your favorite movies?

“50 First Dates (or really any Adam Sandler movie), the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies, and Top Gun!”

What’s your favorite way to spend the weekend?

“For the past few summers, we have spent the weekends at Andrew’s family lake house. There’s nothing better than soaking up the sun, trying new water sports, and enjoying family dinners together!”

For the bride: What are three things you love about your groom?

“Andrew’s dependability, family-oriented nature, and sense of humor are my favorite characteristics in him! I know that I can always count on him when I’m in need. He puts family and close friends first. Best of all, the time we spend together is always filled with laughter!”

For the groom: What are three things you love about your bride?

“My favorite three things about Kelsi are her ability to genuinely connect with anyone and make them feel welcome, her love for the Lord, and her smile.”

Describe yourselves as a couple!

“We are a fun-loving couple who have very different hobbies from each other. But over the many years we have spent together, we have learned to love each other’s passions. Kelsi loves musical theater, and Andrew is happiest in the outdoors. Now, we enjoy everything from musicals to hunting and everything in between as long as we’re together!”

What do you both do for a living?

“Andrew manages an oilfield service company and farms. Kelsi will graduate from the University of Illinois in May with a degree in accountancy.”

If you could go anywhere on a vacation, where would you go?

“An extended trip to Europe to experience the rich history across that continent is our dream trip!”

What was your favorite part of the engagement session?

“We loved that Bret and Brandie were able to capture pictures of us at some of our favorite places!”

Advice for other couples who are prepping for their engagement session?

“Just relax and enjoy the time together. Bret and Brandie make it so easy, so have fun and think about showing your kids and grandkids these pictures!”
