We recently had the pleasure of hosting Jacqueline of Jacqueline Jordan Photography & The Client Connection Academy in the B&B Studio for a few new headshots for her brand!!!📸💕 Jacqueline is a whirlwind of color, life, magic, fun, and love!! It’s always such a joy to be around her…We are not only big fans of her work but also of her wonderful personality! Tell us about your business!

“I’ve been a portrait and wedding photographer for about 15 years, which makes me feel elderly to say. I do the majority of my portrait sessions in the Owensboro area, but weddings seem to pull me toward Bowling Green, Lexington and Louisville a lot. I love photographing family sessions, seniors and couples.”

What are 3 words you would use to describe your biz?

“Joyful, Thoughtful and Intentional”

What is next for you and your business? What are you currently working on?

“I’m launching a teaching resource for other photographers who want to improve their client experience. It’s called The Client Connection Academy. I’m so excited to help photographers learn how to stop chasing new clients and build a sustainable business with the ones they already have. So far, I’ve put together lots of great tools and templates, but I’m working on a full-blown course.”

What is your favorite part of being your own boss?

“My favorite part of all this is the relationships I’ve built. More times than I can count, I’ve had a senior sesson client grow up into one of my brides or grooms. Then they become maternity session clients, and take annual family portraits. It warms my heart to grow with them and serve them through life’s milestones.”

What does your morning routine look like?

“Working from home starts with snuggles with the pup and an early-morning walk around our neighborhood with some good music in my AirPods. Then it’s time for a homemade iced coffee and attempting to look like a functioning human. I try to do all of that before I log on and start the work day.”

What is your go-to coffee order?

“The cinnamon dulce latte at Gramps Coffee and Donuts is like a big hug. It’s my go-to.”

What is your favorite productivity hack?

“I set timers for tasks. If I give myself 30 minutes to accomplish something and set a timer, I’ll get it done in 25. If I don’t set a timer, I lose focus and it takes twice as long.”

What is your favorite business book or podcast?

“The New Gold Standard by Joseph Michelli and Setting The Table by Danny Meyer  (founder of Shake Shack) are up there.”

“Don’t wait! If you’re hesitating for any reason, don’t. They make the whole process so comfortable, taking time to help you pose and making sure you look your best. And, from someone who typically shys away from being in front of the camera, they make it fun so you don’t feel as awkward as you expect to. The end result is stunning photos that show the best version of you!”

What was your favorite part of your branding session with B&B?

“They’re both the best hype people. The amount of compliments they give you during a session can really boost a girl’s confidence for days to come.”
