Kennedy and Ethan’s Engagement Session

How did you meet?

“We met seven years ago in the USI library when Ethan “accidentally” knocked over my chapstick. He asked me on a date shortly after, and the rest is history.”

What was your first date?

“Our first date was dinner at Biaggi’s, followed by coffee at Starbucks. The night flew by, and we couldn’t believe how much we had in common. It was one of those evenings where everything just clicked, and we knew there was something special between us.”

When did you start dating?

“6 1/2 years ago”

When did you get engaged?

“December 25th, 2023”

How did he propose?

“He proposed on Christmas morning in front of my family. I thought he was at work, but my dad blindfolded me for what I thought was a “gift.” When I took the blindfold off, Ethan was on one knee! It was such a perfect surprise, and having my family there made it even more special.”

What are your favorite activities to do together?

“We love to go on coffee dates, long walks, and road trips together!”

What are your favorite movies?

“Good Will Hunting, Up, and alllll the Harry Potter movies”

What would the perfect date night look like or include?

“Our perfect date night would definitely include some Mexican food, Sonic slushes, and comfy clothes. We’re all about keeping it relaxed and enjoying the simple things together.”

What is your favorite drink?

“Kennedy: Moscow mule and Diet Pepsi Ethan: Old Fashion and Diet Mtn Dew”

What’s your favorite way to spend the weekend?

“We don’t get many weekends where we’re both free, so when we do, we usually like to visit family. It’s our way of reconnecting and enjoying quality time together with the people we love.”

For the bride: What are three things you love about your groom?

“1. He’s always so HAPPY. honestly, like a golden retriever in human form. 2. He always does right by the people he cares about. His moral compass is spot on. 3. His kind heart. He genuinely cares for everyone he meets and is known for just being a really good person.”

For the groom: What are three things you love about your bride?

“1. It doesn’t matter what type of day I’ve had, she can always bring a smile to my face. 2. She has a heart of gold 3. Her commitment to giving it her all is truly inspiring. Whether it’s for family, friends, or her career, she always puts herself out there.”

What do you both do for a living?

“Kennedy is in medical school and Ethan is in Emergency Medicine residency.”

If you could go anywhere on a vacation, where would you go?

“Florence!”

What’s your favorite place you’ve ever been?

“Charleston, SC”

What is one interesting or random fact about each of you?

“Ethan could carry on a conversation using movie quotes alone, and Kennedy could carry on a conversation alone”

Do you have a favorite date you’ve ever been on together?

“We went on a trip to Charleston a few years ago and spent an evening by the water, drinking, talking, and enjoying seafood. It was a simple night, but we laughed until our stomachs hurt and both agree it was our favorite date to this day.”

What’s something you are both passionate about?

“We’re both passionate about helping each other become better people. We keep each other grounded and always challenging each other to grow.”

What was your favorite part of the engagement session?

“getting back into Ethans car (jk) we were big fans of the burrito!!”

Advice for other couples who are prepping for their engagement session?

“Trust Bret and Brandie!!!! We’re definitely not the type of people who are super comfortable in front of the camera, so we were a bit nervous about how the session would go. But they made us feel totally at ease and gave us clear direction, so we never felt awkward or unsure of what to do. Every detail was well thought out, so we could just relax and enjoy the moment.”
