We couldn’t be more excited for Kristie & James as they step into this season of life together! Wishing them all the love and joy as they count down to their big day!!! 💍🎉

How did you meet?!

“We both were very skeptical but the science behind the algorithms worked for us on eHarmony.”

What was your first date?!

“June 19th, 2021. It was this lovely restaurant in Frankfort, Kentucky. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon we met at the capitol because it was half way between our two cities. After dinner we decided to go for a walk around Frankfort and to continue to enjoy each other company we grabbed a cold beverage at Bourbon on Main and had our first kiss well after sunset, it was a perfect evening. Our relationship blossomed at that point and we didn’t look back. Somethings you just know are a perfect fit without having to say anything.”

How did he propose?

“June 14, 2024, this was special because this was my Granny’s birthday and he didn’t know…He took me to our favorite restaurant, Jeff Ruby’s in Nashville Tennessee. Although we had not been to that one yet and this was our first vacation that wasn’t tied to any other event so it was an amazingly relaxing weekend. We grabbed a blackberry martini while waiting on our table, our Uber dropped us off a little early. we were seated at a lovely small booth and our conversation was amazing and appetizers’ ordered and he pulls the box out says he couldn’t imagine his life without me. of course I tear up and say yes. The sweetest part a different table saw what was happening and snapped a few photos for us and texted the waitress who texted them to us.”

What’s your favorite way to spend the weekend?

“Besides getting to spend the time together, we LOVE our College (mainly) SEC (South Eastern Conference) Football. We love the drama, the story lines, passion and just the love of the game everyone from players to fans have every year.”

What are three things you love about your groom?

“He is my safe space, physically, emotionally, and mentally; I know that he is willing to listen to me, allow me to lay my worries with him and not judge me. He is always supportive in my passions interests and trying new things in life (including modeling and walking NYFW as a model himself. There is so many more but most importantly being a communicator through all things, talking about things when we don’t always agree and not only being sensitive to my needs and his but vocalizing those needs throughout our relationship.”

What are three things you love about your bride?

‘She is so creative, she has the ability to think of things and make magic happen. She can problem solve and figure things out from planning to fixing things very few things challenge her. She enjoys collaborating with me and investing in our life.’

What’s your favorite place you’ve ever been?

“New York City, so much to see and fantastic food.”

Do you have any pets together? If so, what are they and what are their names!

“Tembo is our fur baby, by the wedding he will be 14 years old but he is the proverbial toddler. He very spoiled and loved everyday and twice on Sundays.”

Do you have a favorite date you’ve ever been on together?

“Besides the engagement (obviously), anytime we can go to a show, Wicked, Lindsey Sterling, Celtic Women, etc. Those moments away rom the hustle and demands of our daily lives.”

What was your favorite part of the engagement session?

“Honestly, even though it was record cold Bret and Brandie made us feel so relaxed and captured the goals we had for the day. They were so easy to work with and we were able to be our romantic honest selves during the shoot.”

Where did her outfits come from?

“1st Outfit: My White Dress was from Eloquii, Earrings, Necklace and shoes Amazon 2nd Outfit: Angel Jackets Shirt, Jeans, necklace and Boots Amazon, Earrings – Little Miss Dress Up Engagement Ring – Helzberg Diamonds

Where did his outfits come from?

“1st – Suit and shirt – Men’s Warehouse, Belt and Shoes Macy’s 2nd – Jeans – Men’s Warehouse, Shirt – Macys, Jacket – Angel Jackets Outwear Boots – Nashville boot Store His Engagement Ring – Patrick Adair Deigns”

Advice for other couples who are prepping for their engagement session?

“Trust the process with Bret and Brandie. Preplan your clothing but be ok with changing clothes at last minute, I (Kristie) had to and I didn’t stress because the day didn’t depend on my clothes alone. Biggest thing talk, both of you, about what memories you want from the session because this is about you and your life.”
