Danielle & Drew’s Downtown Newburgh Engagement Session

Golden hour in downtown Newburgh set the scene for the sweetest evening with Danielle and Drew! The sunset was glowing, the breeze was just right, and these two? Pure magic. They were so snuggly, so in love, and such a joy to be around…we instantly clicked and spent the evening giggling our way around the prettiest spots in town!!! Their session felt effortless & fun and watching the way they light up around each other was just the cherry on top!!! ❤️✨ We just love these two and these photos SO much!!!

How did you meet?!

“We met at our friends’ wedding! Danielle was friends with the bride and Drew was friends was the groom and was a groomsman in the wedding. All of our friends were pushing us to talk to each other which Danielle was very hesitant of 😜 Drew didn’t give up and after becoming friends and hanging out consistently, we have been inseparable since!”

What was your first date?!

“Our first official date was June 20, 2023 (Danielle’s birthday). Drew took Danielle to Pangea and had a rose waiting for her ❤️”

When did you get engaged?! How did he propose?!

“July 27, 2024! Drew, Danielle, and Danielle’s 3 children were on vacation with Drew’s parents and sister in Branson, MI. The second day of our trip we went to Top of the Rock and did the Lost Canyon Cave and Nature trail tour. Right after, all 8 of us went to dinner at the Top of the Rock restaurant and had a table that overlooked Table Top Lake and the Ozark mountains. While we were waiting for our food, we all went and explored the grounds a little bit to get a better view of Top Rock Lake. While we were enjoying the views, Drew got down on one knee and waited for Danielle to turn around. It was absolutely perfect and some of our favorite people were there to witness it and celebrate with us. Danielle wanted her kids to be involved in the proposal so that was something super special to her, being able to share that moment with Drew and the children”

What’s your favorite way to spend the weekend?

“We love spending as much time outdoors as possible then finishing it with a nice dinner and a favorite movie or show. Nights in are our thing 🤩”

For the bride: What are three things you love about your groom?

“Drew’s heart and the compassion he has for all living beings The way Drew loves and respects me in a way I’ve never experienced before Drew’s faith and his foundation with the Lord”

For the groom: What are three things you love about your bride?

“Danielle puts everybody else’s needs above her own/ cares about others more than herself. Danielle’s willingness to try new things and explore new places The way Danielle is grounded in her faith”

What’s your favorite place you’ve ever been?

“Sedona, AZ was an incredible trip for us. We loved it so much we decided to get married there 😍”

Do you have any pets together?!

“We do not have any pets, but we do have 3 kiddos 🤪”

Do you have a favorite date you’ve ever been on together?

“We prefer to go on trips together versus a ton of little dates. For Drew’s 30th birthday, we snuck away for an overnight trip/date to Chicago and it is one of our favorite weekends to this day. We love having fun together ❤️”

What was your favorite part of the engagement session?

“We loved being able to hang out in downtown Newburgh where we were both born and raised. The weather was perfect and Bret and Brandie made the entire experience so enjoyable and easy… even to Drew!!”

“Kate Brandenstein did my hair and I did my makeup….Kate’s Instagram is @cosbykate”

“Choose a photographer who will make you feel comfortable and confident! That made such a difference for us 🫶🏼”
