A Downtown Owensboro Wedding

A Downtown Chicago Engagement

The Goedde Family Session

Cue the jazz music and pour yourself a coffee, because this engagement session was chef’s kiss NOLA magic!!✨

From cozy photos at home with their sweet pup to breezy waterfront strolls and their go-to dive bar for a cold beer, Taylor & Gabe’s session was a perfect snapshot of their life together…playful, real and oh-so-romantic. We wandered the marina, soaked up the charm of New Orleans and even got caught in a surprise rain shower by the water (which somehow made everything even more swoon-worthy 🥹)!!!

We wrapped up the evening with beignets, sticky fingers & happy hearts, as these two giggled and snuggled their way through the sweetest afternoon. Their love is effortless…full of laughter, warmth and the kind of connection that makes our job feel like a dream!! WE ARE OBSESSED!!!!!

We cannot WAIT to celebrate their wedding day soon…we already know it’s going to be just as fun and full of love as these two are!!!💛✨💕

Snuggle in and scroll down to read the cutie couple’s Q/As!!!

How did you meet?!

“Swiping right on Tinder”

What was your first date?

“July 2, 2021. Gabe thought Taylor looked really cool when she whipped an illegal u-turn to park. We walked around a garden area near The Arch and walked down the steps to the river. Gabe asked Taylor if she wanted to touch the water. She said no. Then we sat on the steps and talked for a while, and then we got a drink at Bar 360 and talked some more. On the way to his house, (To everyone reading this, we promise we just went to keep talking because the conversation was going so well.) Gabe showed Taylor where he went to elementary and middle school. She wasn’t sure if he was a psychopath or just excited to show her everything. It was the latter. The date was perfect.”

When did you start dating?

“July 10, 2021. He asked me on the 8th, and I said no because I thought it was too soon. But we both knew we were gonna be in it for the long haul.”

How did he propose?!

“It was November 24, 2024!  Taylor was home for Thanksgiving break, and Gabe’s mom planned a girls day with her & his family for brunch and nails in St. Charles. Gabe was supposedly to still in New Orleans, but took a sneaky flight home early that morning. Gabe texted Taylor before his flight that he was sick, and she panic texted his friends later that day to check on him thinking he must have passed out in the bathroom when her text went green. His phone was just off and he was home now duh. After nails, we were supposed to meet the guys for a river boat ride by The Arch (one of our first date locations.) This boat ride obviously did not exist. When we got there, Taylor said out loud “I’m so glad everyone could be here!” followed by Gabe coming up behind us saying “Don’t forget about me!” And he got down on one knee. We both don’t remember everything he said haha. But Taylor did say yes! Gabe also had Sara come down from Chicago to photograph it all.”

What’s your favorite way to spend the weekend?

“It changes every weekend!”

For the bride: What are three things you love about your groom?

“That’s an impossible question because he just IS my favorite. But his big heart, his ability to always see the bright side, and his smile lines.”

For the groom: What are three things you love about your bride?

“Taylor has the ability to go up to anyone in the world and find a way to make them smile and feel comfortable (I immediately hugged her when I got out of the car on our first date), I love the way she not only encourages my goofiness, but matches it so perfectly, lastly she is the most loyal person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing — no matter what hardships I’ve faced she has been there for me every time without hesitation and a shoulder to lean on.”

Do you have any pets together?!

“Our Golden doodle! She goes by Magnolia/Maggie/Maggot/Moo/Pooerson, and many more”

Do you have a favorite date you’ve ever been on together?

“Our beach day in Miami was fabulous, but lunch at High Hat after sleeping all night in a car because Taylor misread the hotel reservations while house hunting for a weekend in New Orleans has to take the cake. It’s become our favorite spot here and was the first moment that showed we could figure anything out as long as we had each other.”

What was your favorite part of the engagement session?

“How effortless everything was! Every pose, location, and shot was perfect. We both felt so giddy and confident throughout the entire experience.”

Where did her outfits come from?

“Free People, Wrangler, TJ Maxx”

Where did his outfits come from?

“American Eagle, H&M, TJ Maxx”

Advice for other couples who are prepping for their engagement session?

“Wear what you will feel the most comfortable in!”
