Abbey and Matt’s wedding day in New Harmony, Indiana was pure magic. From start to finish, every moment was filled with intention, love, and so much heart. These two are some of the kindest humans you’ll ever meet and it was so clear that they poured every ounce of themselves into creating a day that felt true to who they are. Every detail, from the thoughtful touches to the way they made everyone around them feel so loved, was beautifully personal and wildly meaningful!!! We are OBSESSED!!!
They didn’t just plan a wedding, they created an experience that wrapped their guests, bridal party and vendors in love….And can we just take a moment to talk about Abbey’s handmade cheesecakes? Exquisite doesn’t even begin to describe them. If Matt hadn’t already put a ring on it, I (Brandie🙋🏼♀️) would have!! HAHAHA!!
Their sweet outdoor ceremony was full of sunshine, smiles and the most supportive crew of family and friends!!! And honestly, we had the best time capturing it all. 😍 Abbey and Matt, your love is something special and we’re still swooning over all the magic!! We love you both oh so much!!!

“Our wedding was June 21st at Kokie’s! Matt and I knew just a couple months into dating that we were the one for each other, so dreaming of our wedding started then while I was on a work trip in England. It was springtime and wisteria was in full bloom and I just thought it was the most beautiful sight! I told Matt that I thought purple would be a beautiful wedding color, and he wholeheartedly agreed in honor of his Alma Mater, the UE Purple Aces!”
“Our first look! Matt was SO excited to see my dress since I had been gushing about it for almost a year. It was also nice to finally start our wedding day together in that moment and not have to stay hidden from each other anymore.”
“Yes! We couldn’t imagine not seeing each other a majority of our wedding day until the ceremony.”
“Our first look was so much fun! Matt turned around and screamed “Oh Yeah!” And picked me up and twirled me around. I couldn’t stop crying and giggling. Once he put me down, he started noticing every little detail on my dress and was so excited about it. The world stopped in that moment and it was a moment I’ll cherish forever!”
“Matt has some exciting career advancements coming up in the next year that we are so excited about! But most importantly, we are looking forward to spending the next year or so traveling as much as we can! Going on adventures is our favorite thing to do, so I foresee quite a bit of golf, scuba diving, fishing, hiking, and exploring in our future!”
“His excitement about life, his unconditional love for me, and how fun he makes everything!”
“I love that Abbey loves to do fun stuff with me, that she takes care of me when I need it, and that she gets excited about the small things”
“Without a doubt, Matt was the most helpful with wedding planning. He didn’t help make color or font decisions or help bring my many ideas into one vision, but he kept our lives functioning when I stopped everything and did nothing but worked on wedding planning. I didn’t cook or clean dishes for six months leading up to the wedding. He would meal prep for me and pack my lunchbox before my work trips so I could stay on my nutrition plan and look great in my wedding dress. He made countless returns when I ordered two dozen variations of white flowers. He didn’t complain when his man cave got taken over by charger plates, bridal party gifts, floral garland, and umbrellas. He is the reason I could do everything I did for our wedding and it made me fall in love with him even more. I also had an army behind me of help with making decisions and executing my vision. Both of our moms were by our side every step of planning helping me problem solve, plan and craft all of my dreams. And all my girls in my bridal party – I can’t tell you how much time I spent texting them this last year exclusively about wedding ideas and asking for advice on what decisions to make. They definitely kept me going (and kept hyping up the vision!!).”
“Book vendors early!! Your vendors will make or break your wedding day. Book early so you have YOUR dream team making your wedding day seamless. Prioritize your to-do list. Don’t get caught up in a project that really doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things and then rush tasks that are important and do impact your wedding day. Lean on your people!! Your people WANT to help you. Let them! Not only will it be fun to spend a couple days crafting/organizing decor together, but it will take so much off of your plate.”
“The fire alarms went off for about 30 minutes at the bridal getting ready suite!! My mom was steaming dresses and somehow that tripped the smoke detectors. The fire department was minutes away from showing up before the building owner got the alarms off. I also had a frog up my skirt! A real life, living frog!! It somehow crawled up my skirt in between layers of tulle. Definitely a first for my vendors!”
“Homemade desserts! Matt doesn’t like cake but loves my cheesecake, so I made five cheesecakes (all different flavors) for the dessert bar! I also made about 400 cookies too, we had quite the spread and provided to-go containers for guests to take some sweets home, because nothing’s better than a midnight sweet treat in bed!”
“This Is It – Scotty McCreary”
“LPE Entertainment – violin and piano musicians”
“11 bridesmaids and 11 groomsmen – and we wouldn’t have changed that for the world!”
“Buffet – fried chicken”
“Cash bar”
“Ugh. Everything. Bret and Brandie are your ultimate hype team not just on wedding day, but through all the work leading up to it too. They will do what they need to do to make your vision come to life, all with a smile on their faces. They have so much experience with capturing weddings that helps so much with planning and also gives you peace of mind that you’re in good hands. They even surprised us at the end of the night with several Polaroid photos they took throughout the day so we had sneak peeks that night!! I can’t rave about them enough. They were in the first round of vendors we booked and I quite literally moved my wedding date to match their availability and I’d do it all over again. (It was also a nice touch that Bret wasn’t scared to fish the frog out of the tulle in my skirt on wedding day)!”
