Downtown Newburgh isn’t just a pretty backdrop…it’s a special piece of their love story, which made this session feel extra magical….Getting to explore the place where their story began was such an honor and it added an extra layer of meaning and nostalgia to every single shot!! 😍

 How did he propose?

“Evan originally asked me to be his girlfriend on a bench along the Newburgh riverfront, and took me back to that same bench to propose. We took our dog, Daisy, on a walk and ended up at our bench. It was simple & sentimental (which is very me).”

What’s your favorite way to spend the weekend?

“We usually end up at Honeymoon for a coffee!”

What are three things you love about your groom?

“I love how caring and compassionate he is, not just towards me, but to everyone he meets. I love his sense of humor. Evan always knows how to make me laugh! I also love how supportive he is. He is my biggest cheerleader in everything I do.”

What are three things you love about your bride?

“She is smart, she always thinks of things that I wouldn’t. She is caring, she is always thinking of others. She is beautiful, she brightens up my life.”

What’s your favorite place you’ve ever been?

“Our first vacation together was to Maine with Evan’s family. It holds a special place in both of our hearts!”

Do you have any pets together?

“We have a dog, Daisy, and a cat, Keith. They are both couch potatoes and love to snuggle. Evan rescued Daisy years before we met, but I have slowly worked my way to being her favorite 😉”

“Bret & Brandie were amazing! They made us feel so at ease the whole time. They made the whole process so much fun!”

Advice for other couples who are prepping for their engagement session?

“For couples taking their pictures in the summer heat: bring a fan & towel! The sweat is no joke. It was also nice to have a safety pin handy and extra shoes to walk in!!”
