Taylor and David’s Oak Meadow Engagement Session

There’s just something extra special about doing an engagement session in a place that means something….and for Taylor and David, Oak Meadow Country Club is that place. 🥹 From sweet beginnings to countless memories, soooo much of their love story has unfolded right here….So it only felt right to come full circle by doing their engagement photos at the very spot where they’ll soon say “I do!”

We had the BEST time hanging out with these two exploring every inch of the golf course!!! The evening was full of laughter, giggles, golden sunshine and the kind of love that makes you smile behind the camera nonstop!!! SO GOOD!!! Getting to capture this season for them was such a joy and now the countdown to their wedding day officially begins…eek!! WE CANNOT WAIT!!!💕

How did you meet?!

“We went on a blind date at biaggis! My cousin and her boyfriend of the time set us up and here we are nearly 3 years later!”

What was your first date?!

“We went to dinner at Biaggis! We still try to go to Biaggis every year on the anniversary of our first date.”

When did you get engaged?

“We got engaged on 3/24/2025 in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.”

How did he propose?

“We were on vacation in Hilton Head and it had been raining so I took a nap that afternoon. He kept coming in and out of the room (bc he was nervous, although I didn’t know that) and it kept waking me up. So when it was time for me to to get ready for dinner I was still tired and therefore didn’t put a lot of energy into getting ready. We went on a walk around the lighthouse before dinner and I realized when he started getting really nervous what was going on, but he proposed in front of the Harbortown lighthouse and said “Hilton head has been a special place for my family for years and I’m hoping it will be a special place for our family too.” Then he asked me to marry him and I said yes of course (then I realized I was in jeans with almost no makeup and he had definitely surprised me). I then found out he had been plotting with my parents and that they were sitting across the bay at a restaurant with David’s parents and we’re not actually in Myrtle beach like they said they were.”

What’s your favorite way to spend the weekend?

“Starting the weekend with couple’s golf at Oak Meadow is always a fun time! We also love golf cart rides at sunset.”

What are three things you love about your groom?

“I love how kind he is, how family-oriented he is, and I love that he always finds some way to make my bad days better.”

What are three things you love about your bride?

“I love how kind she is, how thoughtful she is to make my day better in Little ways, and how caring she is of me and our family.”

What’s your favorite place you’ve ever been?

“Probably Harbortown lighthouse in Hilton Head ❤️”

Do you have any pets together?

“We live with Maddi a 15 year old spicy terrier mix and Millie, a 4 year old goofy goldendoodle.”

What was your favorite part of the engagement session?

“I loved that it didn’t feel like a photoshoot, it was easy and with Bret and Brandie it kinda flew by (even though it was literally 100 degrees outside).”

Bride, did you get your hair & makeup professionally done for your session?

“I did it myself bc I knew it was going to be so hot that I would probably sweat it off no matter what lol”

Advice for other couples who are prepping for their engagement session?

“Don’t think too hard about it, Bret and Brandie will walk you through it and truly make it sooo easy! At the same time, pick a location that’s important to you- it makes the engagement session so much sweeter.”
