Piper and Louie’s Downtown Owensboro Engagement Session

Oh my goodness…Piper & Louie’s engagement session in downtown Owensboro was EVERYTHING!✨ We had the absolute best time meeting up with these two at the courthouse where they had the sweetest, most sentimental idea — to have us capture the magical moment of signing their marriage license!! How iconic is that?! It was such a fun and meaningful way to kick off their session and we adored documenting such a special milestone in their love story!!! From there, we spent the evening laughing, giggling and exploring the sweetest corners of downtown Owensboro with these two lovebirds!!!🥹

We are completely obsessed with the way Piper & Louie love each other — best friends, partners and soon-to-be husband and wife! 😍🫶🏼💕 We already know their wedding at White Chateau is going to be a dream, and we cannot wait!! Let the wedding countdown officially begin!! 🎉

How did you two meet?

“We met at The Passion Conference in Atlanta Georgia. This is a young adult conference with over 55,000 young adults. Piper and I were sitting in the front row and a friend from Pipers hometown introduced us. We both saw the heart for Jesus we had and after fell in love with each other. Jesus also showed many signs and confirmations throughout our relationship.”

What was your first date?

“We went to Crows Nest in Santa Cruz where he first asked me to be his girlfriend!”

When did you get engaged? And how did he propose?!

“January 2, 2025 — He woke me up at 6:30 am to watch the sunrise and do a Bible study. He read me Ephesians 5 and told me all the reasons he loves me and why he wants to be my husband. He also shared what Ephesians 5 says, that husband should love their wives like Christ loves the church and gave His life up for the church. After that he got on one knee and proposed. I jumped up and down with joy in my heart.”

What are your favorite movies?

“Louis: Great Gatsby, Django, Happy Gilmore, Mad Max: Fury Road, Book of Eli

“Disneyland for a day!”

What are you most looking forward to @ your wedding?

“
Getting to welcome the presence of God for people who may not know Him or His presence. Also for others to see the difference God’s love makes in a relationship.”

“We love each other and have Jesus at the center of our relationship. We want everyone to feel loved and welcomed at our wedding.”

What was your favorite part of the engagement session?

“Our favorite part of the engagement session was how fun Bret and Brandie made each photo. They made us feel comfortable when usually taking photos can be awkward or uncomfortable. They helped capture sweet moments which led to beautiful and captivating pictures.”

Where did her outfits come from?

“My dress with a bow came from Free People and the second dress with flowers came from For Love and Lemons!”

Where did his outfits come from?

“My outfit came from Zara.”

Advice for other couples who are prepping for their engagement session?!

“Do not be nervous, Bret and Brandie will make the experience enjoyable and easy. Bring water if it’s hot and extra makeup and hair brush just in case. They also will tell you how to pose which helps a lot.
