Caitlin and Jason’s Mini Anniversary Session

While we were in Virginia we got a chance to see and photograph one of our favorite B&B couples! ❤️ Caitlin and Jason, we’ve loved celebrating so many of life’s milestones with you two!! 🥰 We had so much fun photographing these two on a sweet rainy day in between Kelynn and Matthew’s engagement session! We reminisced on C&J’s wedding day and caught up on all of their most recent adventures…we just love these two so much!! Happy Anniversary, Caitlin and Jason…2ish years down, 100 more to go! 🥂✨💕

When did you get married?

What do you like best about being married?!

Him: Being married is the best! It’s like having your best friend with you all the time, discovering the world and experiencing new wonders together.

Her: Being married means our adventures never end! I love exploring/traveling the world together and knowing that no matter where we are, we always have a home when we are together.

What’s been the most surprising thing about marriage?

Him: The most surprising thing about marriage is how easy it is to face life’s challenges when you have your spouse as your rock; to be there when things get really tough. But also to be there when you succeed and celebrate you.

Her: That my love for Jason continues to grow each and every day. Everyone always says that’s how it is – but I never truly understood it! It is so true, though. Every tough thing we go throw, every amazing moment we experience, even just the normal everyday routine – I love him more and more than I thought possible.

What’s your favorite memory of the last year?

Him: My favorite memories this past year are too many to just choose one. Sometimes, it’s nothing even that extraordinary, sometimes it’s just Caitlin, our dog, and me on the beach, on a beautiful sunny morning, looking out towards the ocean.

Her: Exploring Northern Thailand and sleeping under the stars with elephants. Truly an amazing experience and one I am so glad we got to share together!

What was your favorite date together last year?

Due to COVID, we had to cancel our original honeymoon plans. We ended up putting our honeymoon on hold until just a few weeks ago, when we finally pulled off the trip of a lifetime to the Maldives! It was so gorgeous and amazing – totally worth the wait!!

What would you tell yourself if you could go back to the the morning of your wedding?

Him: To absorb every second of that day, it went by way too quickly. But more importantly, I would tell myself to remember to eat that apple pie mini dessert that I was wanting all day and forgot to eat!

Her: Soak in every moment, it goes by so fast!! And don’t sweat the small stuff. It won’t matter, and your wedding day will be absolutely perfect – no matter what might go ‘wrong’.

Looking back, what was your favorite moment of your wedding day?

Him: My most favorite moment of the day was the first look with Caitlin. She looked absolutely gorgeous and I had all the feels.

Her: I have so many favorite moments throughout the whole day…it is hard to choose. The ‘first look’ with Jason is a top favorite moment. We got to see each other for the first time as bride & groom and read special letters to each other – it was something I will never forget!

What are you two looking forward to tackling next in life?

We cannot wait for our next adventure, our next unknown. As long as we are together, there’s nothing that we cannot accomplish.
