Bret and I have had the pleasure of knowing Chrissy and Michael for a very long time. We went to high school together, to church together and most importantly we all grew up together! I always joke that Chrissy is my little sister because growing up we were TRULY inseparable. When these two got engaged, first we definitely did some celebrating because after 8 years together Michael finally popped the question! Second, I was absolutely tickled to death when Chrissy and Michael asked us to photograph their wedding!! What an honor this was.
Chrissy and Michael’s wedding took place in our perfect little hometown of Rockport. It was SO fun to reminisce on our old stomping grounds together with them. Laughing and joking about old times with dear friends who have become wonderful clients make our job even more fun than it already is! There was also an incredible amount of emotion and happiness surrounding their wedding day. These two are the definition of high school sweethearts and have truly grown up together. Seeing them start their lives with one another in marriage was sooo very beautiful.
When we arrived on their wedding day, excitement filled the air as the bridesmaids ran around, giggling and getting ready. They all looked so beautiful in their gowns from Rice N Ribbon. Chrissy’s sweet little sister, Emma, was soooo excited and SO cute! How special was it to include Emma in so many ways?!
Watching Chrissy transform into a bride right before our eyes was magical! Chrissy’s pretty, sparkly dress was from The New Image and fit her like a GLOVE! It was truly perfect for her! Chrissy opted for a reveal to her bridesmaids…which was full of the sweetest emotions!! This sweet Bride Tribe was in awe of their best friend as a bride!! (Their faces say it ALL!)
Let’s talk about how PERFECT Chrissy and Michael’s first look was!! (As if we weren’t already first look advocates…these two sealed the deal for us!!). Watching Michael’s face light up with the BIGGEST smile as he saw he bride for the first time was incredible. They quickly fell into each other’s arms with whispers and giggles for several minutes! For that moment, they were the only two in the world. With one more tight squeeze, they stepped apart and were ready to hop into celebrating with their bridal party!
As the entire bridal party danced their way around the block to us for photos, Bret and I were quietly keeping an eye on the sky. A rain cloud was rolling in and we allllll knew it was unavoidably headed our way! With that in mind, we laughed our way through and managed to knock out all the bridal party photos in record time!! (Shout out to the impressive bridal party for being SO cooperative!!) As we were wrapping up the photos, we grabbed the umbrellas for a quick photo op…and friends, it was just. in. time!! The rain hit as we were snapping our last photos and we ushered everyone inside to prepare for the ceremony!
The church was was a packed house…full of friends and family who completely adore this couple. And the ceremony was so emotional & lovely…full of personal touches and sweet memories. These two are finally married!!
As you can imagine, Chrissy and Michael had the biggest celebration at the reception. When the newlyweds entered the doors – the venue EXPLODED with cheers, applause and whistles! Such a spectacular ending to the perfect day! Guys, we are SO thankful you chose us to be a part of your day and we wish you both nothing but complete joy and happiness! Congratulations!!
